Go back and look at move file 1.R3.004 (via the Game Project in CB). You drew three Action Cards but only paid to keep one, and one of the two cards you selected not to keep was a pretty decent leader - Juan Jose - who was actually much better than Henry VI, who you had at the time. *That's* the mistake I'd point to: for the want of 2d, you cost yourself the chance of guarding against a Leader death. (And even if you hadn't kept that, it's almost always possible to use your Change National Focus ability to get a potential Ruler out of one of the Discard piles. Really, you should never be stuck with a round-long Interregnum like you were in this game.) |

Perhaps, but as I recall I didn't even have such a card in my hand that turn to decide to use/not use/hold for that purpose. There should NEVER be the possiblity of a full-turn interregnum. But my recollection may be flawed. |
