No, you are not missing anything. I could not find a clever play to get a decent chance of surviving. Bangkok might have been the better option earlier in the turn, but the chances for taking it were quite low and you stil had lots of counterplay possibilities in the region. It is generally very hard to get PoW when Japan has the last two card plays. |

I looked at it for a long time at the beginning of the turn. You can only get 2 PW points out of Alaska and Midway with 3 ASPs and those 3 ground units with at best a 40% chance, because at one of them I have to risk a 1PW hit due to wipeout at landing. That's why I tried hard to get the PoW with at most 2 ASPs. That only seemed possible from the CBI. I had already thought that I had failed there when I switched to attacking Alaska. Will you do the roll for hits at C, or shall I ? |

Yes, I can repair the losses, so I was willing to bet on a crit. By the way: I believe your "mistake" this turn was using the weather card. Getting the 3 PoW hexes without consecutive cards would have been impossible (at least I could not find a solution). Of cource, you could only guess whether I had another 1 or 2 card. |
