242/fa and inf go d1 for 3ap if this was a friendly I'd concede at this point, but it's a tournament game so might as well play it out as the dice might dramatically change... tis the one issue with the game, when the dice luck tilts to one side there really isn't anything one can do. sometimes it's a quick death with the dice (which it almost was as Caen fell once already, saved with the re-roll) or a continuous string of good rolls just grinds the game till there is nothing possible. Allies up 21 difference and have rolled 7+ on 37 of 47 rolls so far... which is making every day long. Only 3 rolls were less than 5 and all very early. Tied in the German rolls for bombardments sitting at -10 difference and a number of interdiction 1's, both ends of the luck spectrum have been bad for me. The only positive are some late weather changes which are of minimal help and really just have caused the game to last a bit longer else the Allies would have already got their 9+ vps, but it's already past the rubicon for the Germans. All that is left is hoping for an extreme flip in the dice with short days and failed assaults. Which can happen, so worth playing it out a bit longer to see what happens. |
