Yep, rule 10.21 has the details: 10.21 PROCEDURE: After all reinforcements are on the map, each player may move in-supply infantry SPs (even those already in play) from their location through friendly controlled spaces connected by railroads up to their Strategic Movement limit (10.22). Neutral spaces may not be used for this movement. An individual infantry SP cannot combine naval and overland Strategic movement during the same Strategic movement unless it is moving to an Army. Generals and Cavalry Brigades are not eligible for strategic movement. As a special case an Army can receive a SP if it is in supply and has an LOC of friendly or neutral spaces directly to the location of the SP (neutral RR connections are eligible in this situation). |

I believe you must travel only by rail for SM unless you are going into an Army (or port to port). So I don't think you can mass a force into Franklin as there isn't any rail connection |

Heya! A couple of clarifications here. a) Even though the card is an Event, you don't have to play it as one. There is no need to target your own army with the card, just play it as an Ops card (place a fort, move an SP, etc etc) b) If you did want to play it as an event, then you are allowed to target my army since it does have Stuart and Beauregard. c) Here is a ruling from the game designer stating that the intent is that only subordinate generals are allowed to be targeted - https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1332510/costly-mistake |

#4: 1 / Costly Mistake Pick an enemy army with two or more subordinate generals (includes Cavalry Generals) and randomly determine a target general. (sharing what I shared via our Discord chat) OK, thanks for sharing your map. I can see what you have done wrong. When I intercepted into Frederick, I had to leave behind Smith and 1. This is because Corps can only have 6 troops max (and 2 generals max). So Smith and 1 stayed behind in Manassas You can see this when I note this in move 46. So your Pope move just doesn't work. You don't have a path through Manassas to DC that isn't blocked. If you go through Manassas, you need to fight Smith and if you don't, you don't have a path into DC So on your move, I rolled because to me, it looked like you were moving through Smith. Thoughts? |

If you can share your map, that would help me see if we are on the same page. I think there were other ways to get to DC than through Manassas, so with me failing the intercept, I'm good with you ending up with 5 troops there. I just want to make sure our understanding of the map is good. |

Hi Mike, I message 49 I indicated that I wanted Pope to end in Washington if he could run the gauntlet through Manssas. I will make it clearer next time in ACTS and the Vassal log. So I think ultimately with the failed intercept Pope ends up with Buell and 5 in Washington. |
