Never thought about this -- great point. Perhaps we could: 1. One player draws his hand--gets 9 of the 12 cards from the deck, then then before 2nd player draws, sends three random cards to opponent. Will be known by both players anyway 2. Hopefully 2nd player now has three cards of the 12 before drawing; then draws a. If 2nd player now has only 9 cards, great! Will have 6 from the 12 plus three from the shuffle b. If 2nd player has 12 cards, then discards three random cards. If any of those randoms are from the three cards passed from first player, then consider that card still in the hand and notify other player. This "virtual" card is to be played just by noting in a message. Then player must discard another random card to replace the "virtual card" remaining in the hand. 3. First player draws three extra cards. |

Not sure about drawing here. whomever draws first will take all 9 of their cards from the current deck, while whomever draws second will only get 3 from the current deck. This seems unfair, as the second player will know exactly what cards the first player has, while the first player won't be able to get cards like Messenger intercepted or Syracuse, and will only know 3 of the cards the second player has. Should we draw 1 at a time each, until the deck is replenished? When I play in person we deal 1 card from the deck to each hand before we reshuffle the deck , but I don't think that is what will happen here |
