I am certainly not going anywhere in this tournament. I found your defense extremely effective. I am frustrated by my mistakes, and only the dice seemed to have saved me when the AOC escaped to take Nashville. |
481 | 4/17/2024 11:15:00 AM | Summer 1864 | Union | Message |
Actually no, you have been extremely frustrating to play. I figured that you would take Fort Monroe to open 1 port. So the end of this turn, your lose 10 SW for Tennessee to 15 minus, Buts thats all. In the Blockade Phase of the Fall of 64 you lose 6 for the blockade, but that leaves you at 9. Depending on what happens in the Fall campaign you only lose 5 for War Guilt at the end of the turn, leaving you at plus 4. For sure if it lasts until Spring of 65 you lose 6 again in the blockade phase. It will take some effort on the union's part to pickup 4 SW in the Fall of 1864. I suppose I can do that. If you want call it now as a Union victory in the Fall of 64, you would get 1 VP and 12 tie break points, if we dragged it out to 65 you would get 13. I think i have this won. I don't know how you're doing against Dominico but I found him a very good player. So I think you don't want to concede this game, as it gains you 1 VP and 12 or 13 TTP's. I don't like the system as it leads to lots of concessions, but that is Stephane's system. I will report which ever option you want. |

471 | 4/17/2024 10:01:00 AM | Summer 1864 | Union | Message |
If its a corp or army move, ues it's very legal Unfortunately for the USA. Nothing stops you crossing union controlled spaces with an Army or Corp move. If its a division move then NO. Since you have a fort in Vicksburg you can cross the river there. You have to fight 1 battle, the 1 Union SP in Monroe LA, you're out of supply but its probably an auto win for the CSA. If you have a card like I think Wilsons Creek or Belmont you can also move 2 SP, but then the victory at Monroe LA is problematic. |

I thought I was in supply because the Union Has Naval control of the Tennessee River. I put PC in Tuscambria and Decatur based on that. If I am not in supply I could not do that?? 8.12 Unique Union LOC Conditions The Union can trace along navigable rivers through friendly controlled or neutral spaces whether Union naval control is or is not denied. The Union can trace along navigable rivers through enemy controlled spaces (with or without an infantry or cavalry SP) where the Union has naval control. The Union cannot trace along navigable rivers through spaces that contain a Confederate fort, or ironclad. Confederate Torpedoes have no effect on Union LOC. A Union force with a LOC that conducts an Amphibious Assault is in supply for any battle caused by the Amphibious Assault. A Union force without an LOC can con- duct Amphibious Assault as long as all other conditions are met, although the Union will be out of supply for any battle caused by the Amphibious Assault. |
