337 4/27/2024 6:26:00 PM Fall 1862 Union Message Mike, your cup of luck runneth over. I have given Forrest every opportunity of achieving a glorious death on the battlefield, and he always passes it up. And to top it off, I only inflict one casualty. Sigh.

Message from Union:
Okay, now that we've established the correct answer to the question, I'll blow the interception to make it all moot.

Buell and Pleasonton along with 1 infantry SP attempt intercept from DC to Annapolis.
332 4/27/2024 5:00:00 PM Fall 1862 Union Message I hope that is the answer, but we’ll see. The rules clearly state that you can’t leave a leader with no SPs, but doesn’t really talk about leaving more than one general with inadequate SPs to make a legal corps.
331 4/27/2024 4:37:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message I assume you have to leave 2 SPs behind.
330 4/27/2024 4:25:00 PM Fall 1862 Union Message We’ll wait for James, but what do you think the answer is?
329 4/27/2024 4:21:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message Sounds good. I think 8.31 and 5.34 answer the question. Happy to wait for James
328 4/27/2024 3:21:00 PM Fall 1862 Union Message I sent a question to James Pei, with you cc'd.
327 4/27/2024 3:13:00 PM Fall 1862 Union Message This one still confuses me.
Interception is tricky as I have a lot of generals.
Interception would be with Burnside or Buell, plus Pleasonton with success on 1-3.
Normally the whole force has to come except that 1 SP can be left in a fort, which would be an interception force of 3 SPs. However, that would leave Pope, Hooker, and either Burnside or Buell (depending on who intercepts), with only 1 SP.

So, do I leave an additional SP in DC (2 remain in DC, 2 intercept), or do I still intercept with 3 and then you remove a general in DC after the round is over due to too many generals?
326 4/27/2024 1:49:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message Edit, leave 1 in Baltimore, going with n5 to Annapolis
325 4/27/2024 1:49:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #3: 1 / Forward to Richmond
Union may activate any Union army within 4 spaces of Richmond, VA. The army must enter Richmond or move as close to Richmond as possible, but may convert spaces to maintain an LOC. All SPs associated with the army must be moved (no dropping off SPs), except 1 SP may be left if the Army began its movement from a fort (if last SP, move completed). If played by the Confederate, he draws a card from the Union hand which is discarded, and the Union player follows the instructions of this card as his next card play.

Message from Confederate:
I was hoping you might form an Army but as that clearly won't be happening.

The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.

Message from Union:
Curtis will attempt interception to Winchester. Can he be as lucky as Halleck (who then immediately was killed!)
253 4/7/2024 8:25:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message Good note, no change
252 4/7/2024 8:23:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message You don’t have 2:1 odds so your turn ends with the battle - no possible PC placement. Any change?
I may still attempt intercept.
251 4/7/2024 7:09:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #128: 3 / Union Naval Supply Shortage
The Union blockade level is decreased by one. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Confederate:
Activate AoNVA and 3.

1 - Gordonsville
2 - Culpeper
3 - Strasburg
4 - Winchester (You may attempt intercept)
5 - Harpers Ferry with AoNVA and 3

I believe CSA is +9 (using Stonewall) in a Small battle which is auto 1*/1 CSA victory.

You may play a card, intercept. AoNVA and n2 will place PC with final move in Harpers Ferry after seeing if Curtis dies to leader loss
250 4/7/2024 5:24:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #67: 2 / J.B. Eads, Riverine Ironclads
The Union Amphibious Assault modifier is increased by two.

Message from Union:
Not any good options.

Start ops queue on Curtis in Harpers Ferry.
