Yep, the battle was adjudicated correctly. As far as the retirement election to Grand Gulf...See 7.24. If the force was in Grand Gulf already (instead of Jackson), then the force could retire before battle by way of naval. Since while in Jackson, there are NO friendly spaces adjacent, Thomas & Company may NOT retire before combat. |
