185 11/21/2024 4:57:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Event #40: 3 / Emergency Call for Volunteers
Union receives five SPs, no more than two SPs in any space. Placement spaces must be friendly controlled, have a LOC and be free of Confederate SPs or forts.

184 11/21/2024 4:45:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #105: 1 / Detached Cavalry
Played prior to a battle against an army possessing one or more cavalry brigades. The ONLY effects are the Army’s Commanding General’s battle rating (offense or defense) is immediately reduced by 2 and no Cavalry general’s battle ratings may be used in the battle. The effects end at the conclusion of the battle. Cavalry generals are not available for casualty determination. OR: Place one PC marker in any space within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single cavalry brigade. The four space range many not be traced through Northeast Alabama. The space may not contain an enemy SP or fort, but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes.

Gotcha on the Longstreet movement...so now gotta refigure what to do...
170 10/29/2024 8:38:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message OK, here is a reply from Mark Herman on Consim World to a similar question about activating a General without any SP's--
"Ok, In no particular order. The general activates and begins moving. His movement allowance is that of a Corps, not a general moving alone, and he counts every space he moves through. All prohibitions for a general moving without SPs apply and he can be intercepted (he's a corps) which would remove him to the Gt record track since he has no forces. While he is moving the general can pick up and drop off forces normally to the limits of his movement. At some point in his move he must link up with at least one SP or he is in violation of the Corps organization rule 5.34, and is removed from play."

169 10/29/2024 8:28:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message 5.13 references a Calvary Brigade moving alone, but not a General moving alone. 5.66 refers to Generals moving alone, but is clearly a follow up to 5.65 Reorganization.

It also occurs to me that Longstreet cannot cross at New Madrid because of Union naval control on the Mississippi north of Memphis, so it is a full 10 spaces to Rolla via Fayetteville.
168 10/29/2024 8:10:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message I've never encountered this situation before. Under a 5.65 Reorganization move, Generals can move 10 spaces without rail. However, you played a Minor Campaign event, not an Ops Card. You certainly can't move several generals all over the map with the second campaign action, why should moving one like a Reorganization move be permitted?
167 10/29/2024 7:25:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message Ah, but Leaders travel as cavalry, yes?
166 10/29/2024 5:58:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message By my count, it is 9 spaces by shortest route from Dover to Rolla via Fayetteville and no rail network.
165 10/29/2024 5:43:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #85: 3 / Minor Campaign
Conduct up to two moves or conduct one special army-size naval move. No SP, general, or army marker may be moved twice with the same campaign card. You must move a different force each move.

149 10/26/2024 8:25:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message OK, that looks fine. Better execution actually with no intercept chance!
148 10/25/2024 8:08:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Aha, yes...let's try this another way:
"2" card use =>
Price from AoTenn with 3SPs leaves Humboldt to Dover, then to Nashville (p/u 1), then back to Dover (p/u 1 & Pemb - Price n5 & Dover n1), then to Humboldt (p/u 1 - AoTenn n2 & Price n6 w Pemb), then to Madison via the Rail Net.

Campaign:
1st part => Pemb takes 2SPs from Madison to Spfld (Mo) then to Rolla, then to STL (drops 1), then returns to Rolla n1.

2nd part =>
Price takes his 4 to Spfld (drops 1, to KC (drops 1), to Lexington (drops 1) & ends in Jeff City w n1.

Think that gets my objectives to take MoLand for the Rebs...everything Kosher?
