#105: 1 / Detached Cavalry Played prior to a battle against an army possessing one or more cavalry brigades. The ONLY effects are the Army’s Commanding General’s battle rating (offense or defense) is immediately reduced by 2 and no Cavalry general’s battle ratings may be used in the battle. The effects end at the conclusion of the battle. Cavalry generals are not available for casualty determination. OR: Place one PC marker in any space within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single cavalry brigade. The four space range many not be traced through Northeast Alabama. The space may not contain an enemy SP or fort, but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes. Message from Confederate: Activate AoT in McKenzie drop Van Dorn Cav (n1) 1. Columbus, KY pick 1 (n2) 2. Sorry about that. I agree I cannot move AJ alone through enemy controlled hex (5.66 clear on that point), so I amend move to: Activate A.Johnston +1SP in Falmouth, KY (n0) 1. Lexington, KY 2. Somerset, KY 3. Lebanon, KY 4. Louisville, KY end AJ + n1 It is moot now, but I don't think your fort in Nashville impacts my ability to cross the Cumberland at Clarksville, since my fort in Dover denies union naval control upriver on the Cumberland, but your Fort does prevent me from crossing the Cumberland at Nashville. Just my understanding. |

Also, I'm less sure about this but I don't know if you can cross from Clarksville to Dover due to me have control of Nashville with a fort? I'll have to read more about river rules |

Oh yah, I didn't remember that you had placed one in both New Orleans and Sabine City. I saw the Little Rock fort. I was mainly trying to figure out if you had both Major Campaigns (or if you had another play last card) as I had never seen a Major Campaign turned into a fort. I do think we should go back to your previous card play to adjust. |

OK, So I noticed another issue in the game preparing my next card play. Somehow my fort in Dover disappeared. That would not be an issue in and of itself, but not including Dover I have all 6 forts on the board now. Not sure how or when that happened. I think we have a couple of ways to deal with it. A. Leave the board how it is or B. Roll back the turns to where I placed fort in Paducah and say I could not have done that. Let me know if you have different suggestion or preference above. I am sorry so many mistakes have happenend. |

Heya! Doing great! I have a question about this move. 1SP Madison, AR to Dover, KY (n2) Did you mean to move this unit to somewhere in Kentucky? Dover, TN already has n2 so I didn't know where you intended this SM to end up. And yah, agreed you can't cross the Mississippi but it is fine if that unit originates in FL instead. |

Hi Mike, Was just checking in to confirm all ok. I also noticed what I think was another error on my part during reinforcements. I placed an SP in Madison, AR and then moved it to Dover, TN and don't think I can cross Miss River right now due to Union Naval control. I could have placed the SP in FL and moved it to Dover, so think it is fair to leave it there now, but will keep this in mind for now. |
