Bill, I think it's time for me to concede. After losing Texas I'll be down to 18, with a steady drain of 4-6 SW a turn from blockade runners even if you do nothing else. You get Sherman this turn, which means another big army rampaging. Thought I had a chance if I could pull off at least a raid this turn to offset Texas, but nothing is going right this game. Congratulations and good luck in the rest of the tournament. See you at WBC. |

Interesting I had to look it up, you're allowed to raid Union State capitals, ) A player can never use an EC to place a PC marker such that it would destroy a Resource Space, displace a National capital (can be placed in Union State Capitals), capture a coastal fort (either directly or by converting its associated port), or destroy a fort marker. Exception: Farragut card and Wilson’s Raid card. |

This game is hating me right now. I'm playing in the ladder against Dave Elkin. On turn 3 I was able to get AoNV to Frederick, with a great chance of either taking DC or conducting two raids. He moved twice to Manassas, with me needing 1-4 to intercept - whiffed them both. Meanwhile, I made two key moves that required a "1" on both for him to intercept - success both times. This last one is going to cost me the army. At least Lee comes in next turn. |
