30 10/23/2025 5:24:00 AM Turn 1 Mark Gutfreund Message Anthony, I am sorry for this misunderstanding. I was trying to save emails but it may have made what I was doing a bit confusing. Also there was the Brit vs [31] at the bottom of logfile #17. I don’t know how that got there. It doesn’t make sense, because the Brits can’t air bombard [31] and I had already indicated that I was attacking Port-en-Bessin.

In #14, I finished up the naval bombardment. I was doing two things for one logfile: under the message part (the lower half), I am indicating the result from the previous bombardment of Omaha, in which only the CA was spent. I probably should have said it was Omaha. Below that I indicated what my next attack was, +5 bs Utah. That roll was 6+3 vs 5+1.

In #15, after giving the result of the naval bombardment on Utah, I am predesignating my air attacks and I am indicating who will go first, the Brits for a +4 vs the CA in Port en Bessin.

In #16, that roll is a 6 to 8. THAT result is indicated in the #17, 2 ap’s, enough to flip the CA in Port. Below that, in the message, I indicate that “US” is making the next attack.

In #17, that is then the roll for the US air attack, 10 to 7, which in #18 results in 6 ap’s in [31].

Another way to look at this: after predesignating air attacks in #15 and putting my troops for interdiction, I make only two dice rolls, and I clearly indicated that the Brits were first, so the 10-7 roll has to be for the US.

I should have been clearer. If, after reviewing all of this, you still feel that I should roll for interdiction, I will. I don’t want to ruin a friendship by getting into argument that probably won’t make much difference in the long run anyway.
