This could end early for the Axis. I did not take enough ground in the South of the Soviet Union the first year and the VP penalties were harsh. I'll play on for a little longer, but soon there will not be much purpose in doing so. With the fall of Odessa you can play Torch now. You used one of my favorite tactics against me targeting my Panzer armies the first winter. That left me unable to do much the second year. Hitler Declares War Spring of 42 is late enough that Total War starts after Winter 43 which is great for the Allies if the Axis stall early. I had the card the first turn, so of course I discarded it. It was a mistake of mine to not push more in the south with that in the discard pile. Something I have to remember in the future - push south if that card is in the discard pile. Pushing in the north doesn't grant enough VPs for a late Total War. |
