So the BR 8 is a unit steeped in mystery! You have it moving to Hellfire Pass at 209, but then it vanishes, And when you made your MO last turn, it wasn't one of the units. I have it in the slim box, but can't recall any such combat. At this point I'd nc;lined then to put him back in Basra. But there is but. See 12.3 SR restrictions, 4th bullet. Can SR into or out of a desert space, but not through. So the first move at 209 was illegal and the war-game gods must have set everything right, So you have the guy, as far as I can see, but will still have to rejigger the move, I'm afraid. :( |

For my 6 loss steps (damn turning worm!) I will elim the Volkhov for 3, remove its replacement SU 13 for 2 more and flip the SU 3S. In this case, I don’t see anything keeping you from using the reduced unit. In losses, I think you have to use a fresh one first., but these aren’t really losses and the attrition rule seems more generous. as far as my replacements, the (6) came on reduced so the 11 is four not five replacement points. Hope that covers everything, just waiting on your standfast markers! |

Marc. I go along with the reduction of the Kalinin Front and I place the Bryansk Frt in the Elim box. One fin point to ask about. Along with the Bryansk I have to remove a SCU from the Soviet Reserve. I have one of those, the SI 1 that is reduced at present in the Reserve. Is there a rule that prevents me from sending that unit to the Elim Box? I don’t believe there is that benefits me certainly. What do you think or do we need a house rule 13.44 just says a SCU which could mean a full strength one but maybe not. What you think? |

You asked about the weather here in your last entry though it was several days ago. We are getting an unusually cold Winter here. This morning it was 32 degrees and will do something like that thru Tuesday next week! A low of 21 on Saturday is currently expected. Hugely cold for here. Lot of upset snowbirds in The Villages right now. I started getting sick on Wednesday I think. A lot of drainage and such and I either have a viral something all the drainage cause a slight sinus infection but I think it’s a “cold.” I’m a little better this morning and thus my move. I just haven’t felt my best for several days which is unusual for me. I get maybe one thing a year but it’s usually in Winter. How is it up there? |
