Yes Vienna and Budapest are in your "Area" even though they are very far from you and one is adjacent to my home. I share an area with Genoa who has more control of our "area" then I do. I would prefer to not lose any territories but that is part of the game. If you are trying to justify actions based on area alone let me remind you that your area has 12 provinces in it and my area has 13 but has 2 nationalities in that area. So you want all of your area but we have to split ours. Is that actually fair? Just some food for thought. You took Salzburg from me and I never tried to take it back or do anything against you for that because it is part of the game and I know you were protecting Prague which I did want to take early in the game. I also wanted Salzburg as it would help me protect my home. |

Before attacking I would like to engage discussion. -I will try to get ST MALO because it is in my territory and also because London and Barcelona are ahead regarding territory domination. -On the other hand, I could attack MILAN because in my territory, but Venice is not leading (territory) at this time, or MONTPELLIER because Barcelona is ahead. Barcelona - yes rules were strictly enforced because the move you made is wrong and I have no clue how you have played that way before. I see it as very cut and dry. Also playing armor or stirrups does not really effect anyone else so playing the card is your choice and your choice alone and I have never seen that spark any type of a diplomatic conversation. I think these comparisons are like comparing apples to an evergreen tree. Face to Face playing a card is very different and there always seems to be some table talk when someone plays a card that will hurt them. It is harder here but maybe we should set some sort of precedent? Going forward if an "attack" card is played against you, you will need to respond with some sort of diplomacy or I accept the card played against me. This way we can either move on or talk before another person takes their turn. This is my proposal. |

You can even change your mind and play it against me if it helps your strategy (I am not ironic - that’s the game). So why would we not enforce the rules this time? Why didnt London say « BTW I have Civil War, dont pess with me ». London decided to keep it secret so the game must continue. This isn't a tournament, so I always take the view of what is acceptable in face-to-face play. Where people can discuss cards played and change minds in the instant.
