Well, I guess that's the end of the line. The Romans had a tough time with the Fates in this game, especially with Battle Cards draws. There was an abysmal lack of Reserve cards until the end. Fabius had numerous favorable battles with Hannibal, only winning at the end on a relative longshot when it was already almost too late. Scipio was a disappointment as well, failing interceptions at critical times. I felt like Rome could have won with at least some help from Lady Luck, but it was not to be. Carthage did a good job of racking up Allies early on and preserving Hannibal's strength, which made my task much harder. However, I'm surprised that you didn't take me down in turn 5 right after the Truce. Rome should have fallen long ago. |
