Thank you very much for these tips; I’ll try to put them into practice. I usually build a stronghold in LR, but this time I didn’t… As for Weldom, that’s also valuable advice. As for the capital, I admit I got confused, but I think it was already too late :) In any case, you played very well, and even without my mistakes you would have found the weakness :) and won I've learnt a lot from playing against you |

Thanks for the game Fred. In this game, you made several crucial mistakes. 1. you defended TN well, but failed to prevent the fall of AR/TX/LA... all you have to do is build a fort in Little Rock, then Union cannot do any overland attacks! ... you had plenty of 3-Op cards, so use it to build fort early on. 2. AONV with 10 sp should have taken out Union 1 sp blocking force in Weldon, instead of Danville so that the rail network is open... you actually had a good protection force of 2 sp in Burke earlier, but you pulled them out, thus opening your flank and rear to danger. 3. losing CSA capital SW hurts, so always try to have at least 1 sp there ... at least give yourself a chance to defend, instead of just letting Union walk in. |

#3: 1 / Forward to Richmond Union may activate any Union army within 4 spaces of Richmond, VA. The army must enter Richmond or move as close to Richmond as possible, but may convert spaces to maintain an LOC. All SPs associated with the army must be moved (no dropping off SPs), except 1 SP may be left if the Army began its movement from a fort (if last SP, move completed). If played by the Confederate, he draws a card from the Union hand which is discarded, and the Union player follows the instructions of this card as his next card play. I have a question Is it possible to play ‘Forward for Richmond’? Even if you don’t have an army within 4 spaces of Richmond, it won’t have any effect, but it will cause you to lose a turn... |
