453 5/9/2026 9:27:00 AM Fall 1863 Union Message True about AoW under Jackson but he got sucked down to Florida by Pope.
And yes I’ve been staying in a condominium at WBC with James and Nick Pei for a few years but it doesn’t seem to be helping me much in my FtP play!
452 5/9/2026 4:13:00 AM Fall 1863 Confederate Message And BTW, I met Nick Pei last week in Paris. He told me you were together at the wbc ;-)

451 5/9/2026 3:15:00 AM Fall 1863 Confederate Message Some answers

The destruction of my AOT was useless, very avoidable and totally stupid !

Lee may go in the West IF Jackson stays in the East...

We had the same number of campaigns but in the total, you received 13 OP more than me. It is huge.
450 5/7/2026 8:41:00 PM Fall 1863 Confederate Message yes AOT n3 after attrition (was still at 9 on my map)
And there was already the PC on my map as you wrote it
but effectivly 7 against 4, you didn't have the right to control after the battle
anyway, with a method or another, there is a PC in Dover ;-)

Nice trip

433 5/6/2026 11:03:00 AM Fall 1863 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #26: 3 / Cotton is King
If played by Union, reduce Confederate SW by 2; if played by Confederate, Confederate immediately receives two SPs in any Blockade Runner port, no more than one SP per port, but more than 1SP per Blockade zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:

Union may place two Union PC markers in any spaces within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single Union cavalry brigade. The four space range cannot be traced through Northeast Alabama and may not contain a Confederate SP or Fort, but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes.

Message from Union:

429 5/6/2026 8:33:00 AM Fall 1863 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #122: 3 / Crisis in the West
If two or more Confederate armies are in Virginia, the Confederate player places (Confederate choice) one army (placed, not moved) in a Confederate controlled Resource space (destroyed or not), Riverine port, or Blockade Runner port (open or closed) in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, or Texas. Remove from deck if event is played.

428 5/5/2026 7:37:00 PM Fall 1863 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #78: 3 / Personal Advisor
Either player may remove or demote from army command one general for no SW penalty. Penalties for promoting a general with a lower political value still apply. OR remove ANY non-commanding general (even second in commands) from the game.

Message from Union:
You are correct about the SW - I forgot that eliminating the fort on VASSAL automatically adjusts the SW and did it again manually.

And you didn't play like an idiot - I had a lot of decent ops cards which makes it tough for the Confederates early (although I find it's usually better to have Lee operate in the East).

373 4/30/2026 5:55:00 AM Summer 1863 Union Message 2nd activation: Activate Curtis from AoT in Somerset.
Tough choice between canceling the raid and isolating Lee, but I think hurting your army is more important now.

1) Curtis and 6 infantry SPs to Clinton. AoT n2 remains in Somerset (which means you can remove two generals from AoT after my move due to lack of SPs, but I'm just going to put them back).
2) Curtis n6 to Crossville. Drop 1 SP.
3) Curtis n5 to McMinnville. Drop 1 SP.
4) Curtis n4 to Tullahoma. Drop 1 SP.
5) Curtis n3 to Murfreesboro. Drop 1 SP.
6) Curtis n2 to Nashville.
7) Curtis n2 to Bowling Green. Drop 1 SP.
8) Curtis n1 returns to Nashville.

371 4/30/2026 4:18:00 AM Summer 1863 Confederate Message oh nooo !
that's more than i can support...

Now you'll understand why I'm feeling down. I had what it took to save the AONV, but I didn't see the card before rolling the dice for the extermination battle.
It was too late.

Anyway, i play it now, even if it is not enough...

Either player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (10 space maximum) to the same space with a General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more enemy SPs or fort. OR play this card as an automatic 2 space interception. Intervening space must be friendly controlled and free of enemy SPs. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.
