I have started to spend all of my impulses at Gold and Sword on the 6th as the Allies. I might be making a mistake at Utah and Omaha to land heavy, anticipating that I might not get back for another impulse (when really, it's important to land the arty so holding a point unit back at Omaha might be important). Better play might have more flexibility, because if I get nowhere at Gold/Juno, or if the day goes long, it's nice to have other options. But lately I'm all in on getting to Villers or Tilly on the 6th, and clearing Bretteville if possible. |

So the assault rolls are where it's at and I can't be unhappy. Everybody makes it except Gold, which is par. A reversal at Omaha or Sword (or both) would have more than offset the bombardment successes. |
