Attack #1 is now cancelled. The four units I landed in what I thought was a second wave have now all been returned off board to their force pool. Attack #2 (a 5-1) and attack #3 (a 3-1) are still a go. |
| 90 | 8/13/2026 5:51:00 PM | Turn 1 | Scott Goehring | Message |
3 attacks, all need die rolls. Attack #1 is an invasion: 5 armor and 79 inf with 1 factor of CAS vs static unit 719. 10-2 becomes a 5-1. If DB2, retreat to O23. Both attackers must advance on all results. Attack #2 is 4 armor, 80 inf, 29 inf, Po armor, and Br 50 inf vs static unit 17LW. 22-4 becomes a 5-1. If DB2, retreat to T27. Adv 29 inf and Po arm on all results. Attack #3 is a 3-1 surrounded. 7 adjacent attacking units vs Lehr 5-5-4. 30-10 is a 3-1. If D Elim or DB2 (also an Elim), please advance Br 7 arm and Fr 3 inf into Dijon. If an exchange, then remove the 2 5-5-4s and advance both Fr infantry units. |

This will be Allied Turn 16. An 8th replacement factor arrives, this time I will spend 5 points to return a 5-5-4 armor factor to the inventory. That allows me to save 3 factors. All Allied units begin Turn 16 in supply. Begin this turn with beach hex Dieppe also controlled and providing the last 2 points needed for supply this turn. Following combat this turn, beach hexes P26 and O25 will also be in control and defended. There are 3 attacks, see next window for details. |

This will be Allied Turn 15. This will be the 7th consecutive turn that I have received one replacement point. All 7 have been saved so far. I will make a second invasion on Turn (15) in the Pas De Calais. All Allied units begin Turn 15 in supply. I will also use the optional naval bombardment rule with this invasion. There will be 4 attacks. 3 of them will be AV's: (5-1 surrounded vs. 116 Panzer, 7-1 vs. 7 HQ, and 7-1 vs. 9 Panzer). The only die rolls needed will be for the 2-1 against Dieppe, which includes the use of the optional naval bombardment, so please roll two dice for that 2-1 battle. P27 are invasion forces plus 1 factor of CAS. Q28 are two armor units attacking from the land side. It turns out I could NOT get a 3-1 against Dieppe. I was thinking the Turn 16 armor was available for my invasion, but half way through the move it dawned on me that they were not and I could not achieve a 3-1. Since I already let the cat out of the bag, I altered it to the 2-1 with naval gunfire support this Turn (Turn 15). |

Allied Turn 14 combat, you only need one die roll. Attack vs. 15 HQ is a 7-1 AV. Attack vs. 5 para is a 5-1 surrounded AV. Attack vs. 165 static is a 3-1. If D Elim, advance 1 inf. If DB2, retreat to KK29, advance 1 inf. If Exch, remove Fr 1 inf, adv US 1 inf. |

Turn 13 combat results were unfortunate. This will be Allied Turn 14. This will be the 6th consecutive turn that I have received one replacement point. All 6 have been saved so far. I DO NOT intend to invade this Turn (14). If I am going to use the second invasion, I must do so either next turn (15), or the following turn (16). All Allied units begin Turn 14 in supply. |

Allied T9. First turn Allies receive replacements, save one replacement factor. Only 1 attack -- it is a 5-1 surrounded so an AV. 348 static unit eliminated (please remove it during your next turn). Rules Questions: 1. If I move units into Caan and Bayeux, and follow those up with a HQ into each, then that should give me 10 supply points (5+5)to any unit within 8 hexes come my next turn, correct? 2. I would like to attack Cherbourg. I can easily get several stacks of ground units out into that end of the peninsula. Can I also drop airborne units into Q33 and Q35 using rule 18.1? The extra 6 factors would allow me to reach a 5-1 and avoid an exchange. And then I could move into Cherbourg next turn and return them to England. Rule 2.11) defines a coastal port as any coastal hex containing a city of fortress. Carentan seems to meet that requirement, but it has no red value pointing to it. Is it a coastal port and if so, what value does it have? Standing by Thanks Scott |

Scott's Allied Turn 8. My big challenge was to use strategic movement and make sure I had enough HQ units ashore to supply everybody. I think I JUST got there, but had to shift two or three pieces back a few hexes to make it work (forgot I had to supply the HQ units too). I have 6 HQ units ashore in three stacks of two. That lets me reach 16 hexes and lets me supply 26 divisions. And the polish tank unit is sitting in a port -- so that gets me to 27. How am I supposed to make these supply lines reach Germany? 24 hexes is not enough, is it? Over to you. |

2 Attacks: All Units in hex Z40 attack all units in hex AA40 along with one CAS factor. 5+4+1=10, 4+6=10. 10-10 equals 1-1. Exch should be everybody. D Elim clears the hex with no advance possible. D Back 2 = CC41 with no advance possible. A Back 2 is up to you but I think they have to go to Y41. Attack #2 is all units in hex Z41 with one factor of CAS against Hex AA41. 4+4+1=9, 3 tripled=9. 9-9 = 1-1. D Elim, both attackers advance to AA41. Exch is everybody. D Back 2 = CC40, adv both attackers. A Back 2 is up to you but I believe they have to go to Y42. You continue to try to save me from myself every time I do something stupid with my airborne.
