Hey Bruno, Sorry for the delay. I have been playing a practice game with Tom. Never have played this game FtF or on-line. So my learning curve has got me slowed down to a crawl. If time is a problem with the tournament not to worry. You win whether we finish on time or not. Just trying to learn the game. Toms been a great help and I am getting to know the mechanics of play. The cards and understanding when and how to use them is a work in progress.

Welcome to Round One of the BPA VII Paths of Glory Tournament! I'll be your GM and should be your first point of contact for any issues related to this match. My overriding priority for this match is to make sure it's fun and fair for both players. That means sportsmanship is expected at all times and issues are resolved equitably. Much of the following is old news for experienced players but we have a sizeable number of participants in this event who are new to ACTS, PBEM, and organized POG play so please bear with me. I'm not trying to teach Granny!
Contacting the Moderator: I am currently in UK, but will be decamping to Thailand for the Winter in a couple of weeks. Wherever I am, I will generally respond to all match questions within 24 hours. If you need to contact me, do so direct at firstname.lastname@example.org referencing your match # when you do so. (ACTS does not send the moderators all posted messages and as we all have multiple games to Moderate, we will NOT be reading through the logs of individual games.) If you put your question/issue in the log, I'll try to remember to post the response there as well. If I do not respond within 48 hours, please escalate to one of the other GMs (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org). If I am going to be unavailable for more than 48 hours, I will try to alert you ahead of time, please contact Michael or Tom in my absence.
Issue Resolution: If either player has a concern about a particular ruling or resolution I make, feel free to escalate to the other GMs. Please remember that the ACTS logs are viewable for all, direct exchanges with your opponent are obviously permitted but GMs will only view the ACTS logs as authoritative.
Getting Started: Here are my thoughts on how to get the match started:
1. Introduce yourselves and set expectations regarding your availability and game pace.
2. Agree on the scenario. The default is the WBC Historical Scenario as described on the POG Tournament Page and I recommend you stick to that if either player is 'new'.
3. Agree on usage of supply warnings. They are strongly recommended.
4. There is no mandatory usage of a particular PBEM tool. VASSAL is recommended but not necessary and exchanging game logs is also optional.
5. Bid for sides. For this tournament, initial bid is by random roll, which follows this intro. Once this is done, switch sides in ACTS if necessary.
6. Draw cards. CP will then kick off the fun by rolling the turn 1 MO and playing their first card.
7. Have Fun!
8. Maintain a decent pace of play.
