699 10/9/2017 12:49:00 PM Fall 1864 Confederate Message I will be outta pocket with the game till Wed next week - 10/18. Catch-up with things then
698 10/8/2017 9:52:00 PM Fall 1864 Confederate Message Well, the way I saw it...you get Tenn for 10SW and blockade take another 4SW.

I needed to prevent Tenn being taken...you would have gotten 10SW for that state and secured 50+ for the Fall turn...even with -5SW for War Wieriness, you would have still got 50...

Super game! I got off to a great start and you recovered VERY well! Even on the ropes you hung in there and kept seeking the "prize".

Another? Any preference?

Will be going to take care of the grandkids in Louisville for a week so my daughter and her husband can go to their 20th West Point Re-union.

Love to play another one...this one was a classic!
697 10/5/2017 9:57:00 PM Fall 1864 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #46: 1 / Pro Union Secessionist in Tennessee

Rich, I was surprised. You could have won this if you'd simply moved six SPs to Dalton [From AoT picking up Hood on the way]

692 10/5/2017 2:01:00 AM Fall 1864 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #82: 3 / Foreign Intervention - Reshuffle/Remove
Either player can play this card as an EC when Confederate SW is 110+. If this is the last card in a players hand or the second to last and the player holds the Emancipation Proclamation, if the condition is met, it must be played as an EC, if not it can be played as an OC. EFFECTS: 1. Union Blockade reduced by one (cannot become greater than 4 for the remainder of the game). 2. Union -2 SP Reinforcements for the remainder of the game (Union choice). 3. Union SW reduced by 10. Remove from deck if event is played. If card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at end of the Strategy Phase.

Message from Confederate:
Well, bud...I think you got me!

I see only one way to win this...by you rolling a 6 for interception by ole Grant.
Hood gets the call to save the Confederacy with a raid into Tenneessee...he takes 3SPs from AoWest (n3) and moves to Memphis (drops 1), then to Grand Junction (drops 1), then to Corinth and end there.

Can you roll a 6?????

Was going to try to lure you into a Big Battle at Strasburg...but if we do struggle there, you will have a +7 mod...and I would have to roll a 3 or better, you rollin a 1 or 2...AND you would have to take the bait!
691 10/3/2017 5:53:00 PM Fall 1864 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #117: 3 / Clandestine Blockade Runner Port
If the state of Florida and the St. Marks, Florida space is Confederate controlled, St. Marks is treated as a blockade runner port for the remainder of the game. Place (no LOC required) 2SPs and a fort (optional if available) in the St. Marks space. Remove from deck if event is played.

689 10/2/2017 4:11:00 PM Fall 1864 Union Message Yes, Hancock in WDC with a fort. After that Frederick mistake, I'm checking twice.

AoT lost an SP in attacking Butler in Wytheville, [#673-4] so n8 now, and it looks like JSJohnston had the lowest score, not Bragg.
Is that correct?

Either player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (10 space maximum) to the same space with a General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more enemy SPs or fort. OR play this card as an automatic 2 space interception. Intervening space must be friendly controlled and free of enemy SPs. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.

Message from Confederate:
I am getting use to the new 2014 rules...as we did not indicate that we were playing with these...you win the battle and loose 1SP as we have been playing in the past. No PC for the fort yet.

To learn the "new" rule in section 18...here goes:

Battle for Fort Sumnter (small):
Yanks attacking with 2SPs, +4 force
Rebs defending with ZERO or (1) and +2 fort...2nd roll
609 7/19/2017 9:15:00 AM Summer 1864 Confederate Message OK, bud...thanks for the heads up...have good travels!

If played by the Confederate player place or flip 2 PC makers in a Missouri space (except St. Louis), which does not contain Union SPs or forts. If played by the Union player increase Union SW by 1 for increased resolve due to atrocities. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Confederate:
ANV (n4) converts Manassas, moves to Hanover (p/u 1 - n5), then moves to Gordonsville to await the next ploy of the Yanks...lots of options.
