360 3/17/2017 7:38:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Yes, it was fun. And on your side, the Indians were definitely the death by a thousand pricks.
359 3/17/2017 7:37:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message Interesting game. All the turns you had in a row to end last year was almost the difference, but my Indians were phenomenal throughout the game.
358 3/17/2017 7:33:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message That's a NE for both sides and a retreat by the attacker back to Ile-aux-Noix.

And with that result, my very tenuous chance to pull this game out disappears. So I concede. Congratulations, Bruce, and good luck through the rest of the tournament.

I held a Surrender card. If my first activation had eliminated both 0 strength Indian units without taking a loss, I likely would have taken Montreal and had a Regulars and Highlanders card for reinforcements, as well as Coehorns for a shot at Quebec and some semblance of a chance to win the game. But the dice were mostly against me at the end.

C'est la guerre, as you Frenchies say.

Message from Britain:
I activate Abercromby and the 4 reduced Provincial units in Hudson Carry South.
340 3/14/2017 9:01:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Oops.
339 3/14/2017 8:37:00 PM 1759 Late Season Britain Message Sorry for my delay. But didn't we forget attrition?

This is how it looks to me: Montreal, both of our forces are subject, yours because they're besieged, mine because they're not one of the 3 categories of spaces where attrition doesn't apply.

You lose 4 out of your 7 2-4 units, I lose 2 out of my 3 3-4 units.

Then, your force in Ohio Forks, although an unbesieged fort, has more than 4 friendly units of any kind. You have 5, total. So you reduce every full strength troop unit.

Since the French Marine detachments are drilled troops and are considered to have only 1 step in the tournament, you lose the 3 Marine detachments.

Also, all of your Indian units should have returned home at the end of the turn, since none were in friendly fortifications, but none did.

Take a look and let me know what you think.
338 3/13/2017 10:33:00 AM 1759 Late Season France Message Raid fails. 1-6 Ojibwa returns home to Pays d'en Haut.

332 3/13/2017 10:18:00 AM 1759 Early Season France Message I did state that wrong. Good catch again.

I almost forgot I still have Villiers' part of the campaign to do.

Villiers, (1) 1-4 FM, (2) 1-6 CdB move from Presqu'ile through French Creek, Venango and Kittanning to Ohio Forks.

After dropping off (1) 1-4 FM and (1) 1-6 CdB at Ohio Forks, Villiers and (1) 1-6 CdB continue on to Laurel Ridge North.

That ends the turn.
331 3/13/2017 12:04:00 AM 1759 Early Season Britain Message You stated it backwards - French lose 5, British lose 4. But it looks like you did take the 5 losses required. I lose the light infantry, the two 2-4 units, and one of the 3-4 units.

You can then proceed with the end of turn. Won't have a reply until tomorrow (and not sending a file, you can just adjust my units).

Levis' 14 CF force which was besieged retreats back into the fortress at Montreal.

Your British have to take 5 step losses.

British gain 1 VP. French now ahead by 4 VP total.

I do get the potential gain of British leader Wolfe's death. Here is the roll (1 = death).

I obviously will play no cards, so I await any response from you before the attack.
322 3/8/2017 12:49:00 PM 1759 Early Season Britain Message I will hold my last card for next turn. You can play your last, unless you're also holding it. Then we're ready to start the next, and last, turn, after end of turn process and new cards drawn, starting with French 1st action. I won't be able to reply until late tonight, at the earliest.

0-6 Abenaki in Adirondacks Central and move to Ticonderoga.

1-6 Ojibwa in Oswegatchie and move through Black River to end in Adirondacks Centrali.
318 3/7/2017 12:49:00 PM 1759 Early Season Britain Message Oops again. Place it in Concord instead.
317 3/7/2017 11:43:00 AM 1759 Early Season France Message Stockade can not be built at Winooski, since you have no drilled troops there and it is in the wilderness (5.41).

Message from Britain:
Interception attempt by Webb, 2-4, and rangers into Ile-aux-Noix.
307 3/7/2017 11:12:00 AM 1759 Early Season Britain Message So, since my action wasn't legal, will completely re-do, starting with the end of your move. I will attempt to intercept your move into Ile-aux-Noix by the Abenaki unit.

The intercepting force will consist of Webb, one 2-4 unit, and the rangers.
306 3/6/2017 11:41:00 AM 1759 Early Season France Message You can not siege Montreal since you do not have a supply line. You need to remove my units from the supply line and would need a fortification at Ile-aux-Nous.
305 3/6/2017 11:31:00 AM 1759 Early Season Britain Message Once again, whether you have Coehorns or not would have no bearing on the outcome. French eliminate 4 of their 2-4 units. British eliminate their 3 2-4 units, the reduced light infantry, and the reduce rangers.

Defender wins, so siege continues. I don't believe there's any VP awarded though.

303 3/6/2017 11:19:00 AM 1759 Early Season Britain Message Well, even if you do have Coehorns, that would still be a result of +2, so I can now immediately assault.

French may not play after Quiberon or if Quebec is British controlled. Restore 3 French or 6 British reduced Regular or Light Infantry units to full strength.

Message from France:
I guess I'd better play this.

Restore (3) 2-4 FR @ Ile-aux-Nois to 3-4's.

Then remove the two 0-6 Algonquin.

Smallpox die roll.
274 3/1/2017 12:51:00 AM 1759 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #34: 3 / Small Pox
Choose a space with >4 units. Enemy eliminates steps equal to half a die roll (round up) or a full roll if >8 units present (reduce all before eliminating any). Then remove all Indians.

Message from Britain:
I choose Ile-aux-Noix. Back to you to roll and take losses.
273 2/28/2017 10:54:00 AM 1759 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #22: 3 / Governor Vaudreuil
Choose any 2 unbesieged French leaders on the map and reverse their locations. (You may not choose Louisbourg if "Louisbourg Squadrons" removal has disallowed French naval movement.)

Message from France:
Activate Levis.

Leaving behind one 0-6 Abenaki and one 0-6 Caughnawaga in Kahnawake. move Levis and the rest of his 21 CF force through Montreal to Ile-aux-Nois.

Play before Battle in Wilderness or Mountain if you have Auxiliaries. May not be played if enemy has Fort, Light Infantry, or more Auxiliary units than you. Fire first, double strength (before any column shifts), unless enemy also ambushes.

Message from Britain:
I activate Murray in Laurel Ridge South

265 2/26/2017 10:31:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #21: 3 / Louisbourg Squad.

Message from Britain:
Leader loss checks for assault on Crown Point Fort, in order:

Wolfe
Dunbar
Webb
261 2/26/2017 10:17:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Actually, since an assault is shifted 1 column left, I rolled on the 22-27 column, for a result of 5.

Not only do you cause a step loss on my drilled troops, which will flip a 4-4 unit, but your natural roll of 6 requires my checking for leader loss also.
