204 3/31/2017 10:22:00 PM 1759 Early Season Britain Message Thanks Dan, the Force was Strong with me this game. I'll send some strategy tips via email. Definitely stick with the game - BR are fun to play too. I'll report to Keith.
203 3/31/2017 8:48:00 AM 1759 Early Season France Message Darn, I was hoping Wolfe got lost and was taking a slow boat to China.
Don't see much point in continuing, so I think it's time to surrender.
I would be interested in any strategy tips. As I think I told you at the beginning of the game, I'm an experienced wargamer and CDG'er but had only played this one twice before, and unfortunately I've always been the French. Seems like once the British get a few reinforcements, there's not much to prevent a British drive up the Lake Champlain corridor just as you did. I was hoping to make something happen in the south, but once Montreal falls it's impossible to do any sieges, so not much hope. And I didn't see any way to retake Montreal in the face of the troop disparity.
Thanks for the game! Good luck in the rest of the tournament. I'll probably keep playing just so I can be the British for once.
202 3/31/2017 6:32:00 AM 1759 Early Season Britain Message Sorry, that should be Montreal > Quebec.
