334 5/25/2017 11:04:00 AM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Well, let's revise...I didn't see the troops there, either...searched and thought the space was empty. So, instead, Jackson will move as follows:
1. Convert Nashville, drop 2 SP (Jackson n2)
2. Murfreesboro, drop 1 SP (Jackson n1)
3. Franklin, pick up the Morgan Cav (Jackson n2) and halt...
That should work...over to you...

333 5/25/2017 5:16:00 AM Spring 1863 Union Message Paul,
I misunderstood your move.
When you asked for Paducah, I translate in my head because I didn't have my map McKenzie... I dont know why... :)
So I said no reaction, that's the fact, so no interception, right.
But You forgot I have 2SP in Paducah since #238
So do you change something or roll for the battle of Paducah? (normaly McDOwell would try to intercept too...)
332 5/23/2017 5:55:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message 4. convert (drop 1 SP)
5. Dover
6. Clarkesville...he will halt there, unless you intercept into the space...if not, it's your turn...

3. Paducah...pause for any reaction...any?
329 5/23/2017 2:38:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Move 1...JJ leaves Richmond, on his own, travels to Norfolk and picks up the 1 CSA SP and the Wheeler Cav Brigade and returns to Petersburg and halts...I'll assume no reaction/card, but feel free to let me know otherwise...
328 5/23/2017 9:41:00 AM Spring 1863 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #85: 3 / Minor Campaign

327 5/23/2017 9:40:00 AM Spring 1863 Confederate Message I am going to revise that retreat...after gaming it out, and assessing the probability of success...which was low...Lee's retreat to Gordonsville is countermanded, and he retreats to Richmond, instead, to join forces with JJ in the defense of the Capitol of the CSA...playing my card next...

325 5/22/2017 2:28:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Grant is in Hanover...n5. CSA fort destroyed in Hanover (another-1 on the SW). Lee's AoNV retreats to Gordonsville VA...n6.

Union may activate any Union army within 4 spaces of Richmond, VA. The army must enter Richmond or move as close to Richmond as possible, but may convert spaces to maintain an LOC. All SPs associated with the army must be moved (no dropping off SPs), except 1 SP may be left if the Army began its movement from a fort (if last SP, move completed). If played by the Confederate, he draws a card from the Union hand which is discarded, and the Union player follows the instructions of this card as his next card play.

270 5/2/2017 5:16:00 AM Fall 1862 Union Message Paul, we finish the game ?
269 4/30/2017 3:47:00 PM Fall 1862 Moderator Message This game looks to be close. But time limit is reached for this round. I am awarding the win to CSA since it is in a good position to defend itself. Arguments can be made that Grant can make life difficult for the Rebels next turn.

But main deciding factor is the time delay by CSA from 4/9 to 4/17. If you're taking off time for work/vacation/personal matters, etc, you need to make the time up later by arranging for a block of time to play together to finish up. I already gave you guys a heads-up 10 days ago.

Feel free to finish at your own pace, if you wish.
268 4/30/2017 8:13:00 AM Fall 1862 Confederate Message Great gane, Stephane. I don't concede either, and would like to see the adjudication procedure from the GN's. I won't spend time pointing out delays, etc, but would rather concentrate on the game. Here is what I think, in favor of the CSA...
1. The CSA is still largely intact, halfway through the war. No Southern States have been captured.
2. No major Southern cities/Resource Spaces have been captured, although Nashville looks to be in danger.
3. Blockade is only at "1".
4. All Blockade zones are open.
5. CSA Has Missouri, with Forrest defeating all incursions.
6. CSA Still controls Mississippi River.
7. Lee and the AoNV are poised for defense of the Capital, and invasion of the North.
8. CSA SW is too high for the USA to drive it to "0" in 6-7 turns...
So, regardless of delays, I think the CSA is in a good position for the long war, which was my strategy.
If James decides the US is the winner, then Congrats...I think we were pretty well matched in this game and I enjoyed it!
It's up to you, James...either way, thanks for running the tournament!
267 4/30/2017 5:03:00 AM Fall 1862 Union Message Thanks for the game, Paul.

I don't concede. I think I have more chance to win.
At the end of the turn, SW will be :
Union 104+ +5 Nashville -5Union War weariness -3 =101-
Csa 94- -5 Nashville -5Confederate War Guilt = 84-

And concerning time, I waited a lot time and ask to play faster.
266 4/30/2017 12:35:00 AM Fall 1862 Moderator Message Time is up for this round. If no one will concede, I will adjudicate.

Union may place two Union PC markers in any spaces within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single Union cavalry brigade. The four space range CAN be traced through Northeast Alabama. These PC Markers (in contravention of rule 11.3D), CAN be placed in blockade runner ports/ and or resource spaces devoid of Confederate SPs or forts (but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes), resulting in their immediate destruction. Remove from deck if event is played.
