296 3/24/2017 1:40:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message What? Just three?
I was sure you had a fourth....
Phil you completely outplayed me BEFORE this turn. I will never try to invade via St. Louis again unless I have a Campaign card IN my hand. Great defense in the East! You have give me a LOT to think about.
295 3/24/2017 7:07:00 AM Fall 1862 Union Message It was very lucky getting 3 campaign cards in a single hand - thanks for the game!
294 3/23/2017 5:35:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message OK Phil,
I thought even if I didn't get D.C. I could survive if you didn't have another 3 in your hand. This is a little worse. AoT is dead, you can convert Columbus (I was going to put a fort there as my last play to isolate AoM), and Grant will be commanding AoP (or another army) next turn! If you will allow my officers to keep their swords I surrender! You can let James know the result. It was a pleasure playing you. Good luck with the rest of the tournament!

I was reading the rules...what a concept! When you took back W. Virginia I think I mistakenly converted Franklin, Lewisburg, and Charleston to Union control which I believe only happens the first time a border state converts. Please let me know if this is the case.

253 3/15/2017 8:30:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message Phil,
I thought about that, but figured you could just use 2 SP from Army of Miss and amphibious assault Little Rock and take the fort. More likely an AA out of DC to Sabine, and then a march on the following card to Marshall. I figure that I am pretty much toast in this game, but I'm learning a lot about the map, and how to play the Union so would like to play it out. Thanks again for the advice, I really appreciate it. I'll stick with my current move, and hope for a better hand next turn.
252 3/15/2017 4:49:00 PM Fall 1862 Union Message Yes it is dangerous - now before you finalise your move placing a fort in Little Rock fixes the problem (at least temporarily). The only place I con't cross rivers at is a fort, so I can't get to it this turn, and Little Rock is in supply because it is connected to Sabine City and Marshall. The down side is I will swallow a lot of 1SPs and/or take more resources.
251 3/15/2017 1:08:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #43: 1 / Kansas Admitted to Union

246 3/14/2017 1:08:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message If you are OK with me changing my move I will go with:
Army of Miss. dropping Polk and 2 SP in St. Louis, moving to Ironton, Greenville, and stop at New Madrid, picking up everyone along the way (now 8 SP). If I can last there a new Fort should put me back in supply.

245 3/14/2017 1:00:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message Phil,
Thank you for pointing this out. I thought I could trace to Little Rock as I have a Fort in St. Louis, but I see now that I have also lost control of the Arkansas River. That changes the attack from desperate, to hopeless. With your permission I will change my move.
244 3/14/2017 4:51:00 AM Fall 1862 Union Message Now I should just clarify that you know you are OOS - not LOC since you lost control of the Mississippi

Foreign intervention reduced your reinforcements by 2/turn. I think you need to remove 2. I should tell you that this is is the longest game of FTP I have ever played. I've only played about a dozen times. Usually the CSA has won by storming D.C., and in a few games the Union won by doing the same thing to Richmond. This has been a real nail biter though!
