693 5/14/2017 7:35:00 AM Fall 1864 Union Message I think I am going to resign at this point Philip.

I don't see any good moves, nor do I see much hope of getting the Rebs down to zero SW by the end of the game.

Thanks for the game!
692 5/14/2017 12:28:00 AM Fall 1864 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #111: 2 / Wilsonís Raid
Union may place two Union PC markers in any spaces within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single Union cavalry brigade. The four space range CAN be traced through Northeast Alabama. These PC Markers (in contravention of rule 11.3D), CAN be placed in blockade runner ports/ and or resource spaces devoid of Confederate SPs or forts (but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes), resulting in their immediate destruction. Remove from deck if event is played.

651 5/13/2017 10:15:00 AM Summer 1864 Confederate Message Yes Charlottesville

I thought about trying to breakthrough the problem was that an attack with 4SP could be stopped by an intercept - which would have made the battle large and wiped me out, which may have been worth it for you even if you lost an army in process.
650 5/13/2017 10:12:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message The old Attrition Avoidance Dance - a well known tactic in the Civil War! Ha! I assume in Move 2 you meant ANV ends move in Charlottesville rather than Gordonsville.

646 5/13/2017 9:30:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message Yes - agreed.
645 5/13/2017 9:24:00 AM Summer 1864 Confederate Message Sorry Wilderness - so are we agreed that was medium and 2*/3, AoT n7 in Wilderness, SW unchanged
644 5/13/2017 9:23:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message And yes on the medium battle. I forgot that you clarified AOT strength in Post #635.
643 5/13/2017 9:22:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message Where is your AOT after the battle? Manassas or Wilderness? You keep saying Manassas but that's where AOP is, and unless I am misunderstanding something, I believe AOP won the battle and so stays put in Manassas. Yes?
642 5/13/2017 9:09:00 AM Summer 1864 Confederate Message It was a medium sized battle -see #636

However, 3 loss would still make it 6 in AoT, now 7 in Manassas
641 5/13/2017 9:05:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message OK - rather than the Naval Move, activate Hancock and 4 SP and move to AOP n9. DC n1 with Burnside.
640 5/13/2017 9:01:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message 1) I assume you mean your AOT retreats to Wilderness rather than Manassas

2) Still a large battle loss for the Rebs, so SW changes noted the first time around are still valid.

3) Let me think over that last move...could be critical!
639 5/13/2017 8:53:00 AM Summer 1864 Confederate Message I should just check that you still want to do the naval invasion

635 5/13/2017 12:31:00 AM Summer 1864 Confederate Message See #615, AoT was 7 after leaving one in Wilderness - the error was in stating that it started with 9, it became 9 after picking up 2

Want to change your action - it is a medium battle
634 5/13/2017 12:06:00 AM Summer 1864 Union Message OK. Just go ahead and re-run the battle. Still a large battle I believe with AOT at 11 and AOP at 9.

My sea move will still stand. So after the battle go ahead and do your last move.
633 5/12/2017 11:37:00 PM Summer 1864 Confederate Message Yep - that doesn't apply here, you are also stacked with a number of leaders
632 5/12/2017 11:35:00 PM Summer 1864 Union Message Read the last sentence of 5.81 "If a Cavalry Brigade is stacked exclusively with infantry SPs, the Cavalry Brigade can attempt to intercept alone."
631 5/12/2017 11:33:00 PM Summer 1864 Confederate Message Check the rules on interception - the entire force has to intercept, in a fort you may leave 1SP
630 5/12/2017 11:28:00 PM Summer 1864 Union Message No army was combined. AOT stayed put. Just Sheridan did the intercept.

627 5/12/2017 10:43:00 PM Summer 1864 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #117: 3 / Clandestine Blockade Runner Port
If the state of Florida and the St. Marks, Florida space is Confederate controlled, St. Marks is treated as a blockade runner port for the remainder of the game. Place (no LOC required) 2SPs and a fort (optional if available) in the St. Marks space. Remove from deck if event is played.

Confederate player can either remove or demote an army commander in any state except Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida for no political cost. OR Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort.
