525 8/3/2017 9:20:00 PM Spring 1865 Confederate Message William,

That was why I was relatively conservative this last turn and was weighting heavily towards MO (was even going to bring my army there if necessary) so as to keep the 10SW from transferring.

There are a few of these cavalry cards that can really be useful for one side (and annoying to the other) at a crucial point.

Same game or switch to something else. Which side would you like?

This weekend I am going to teach one of my friends FTF which should be fun.
524 8/3/2017 3:39:00 AM Spring 1865 Union Message I didn't see the -5SW coming, and have learned to leave 1CU trail to void that card.
I don't think there is any possible way to drive you to 0. Good game as always. You may continue to whoop my ass if you're still game. Isn't your arm tired yet?

You can place it from ANY cavalry brigade, including one that is in an army. The "single" refers that you can only trace from ONE cavalry brigade for the two spaces.

Thus, go ahead if you want to use it as an event. If not, I will fight the battle in Lynchburg.
501 7/17/2017 8:48:00 PM Fall 1864 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #111: 2 / Wilsonís Raid
Union may place two Union PC markers in any spaces within four spaces (includes river connections) of a single Union cavalry brigade. The four space range CAN be traced through Northeast Alabama. These PC Markers (in contravention of rule 11.3D), CAN be placed in blockade runner ports/ and or resource spaces devoid of Confederate SPs or forts (but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes), resulting in their immediate destruction. Remove from deck if event is played.

470 7/10/2017 10:42:00 PM Summer 1864 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #103: 3 / Seven Days/Chattanooga
Either player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (10 space maximum) to the same space with a General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more enemy SPs or fort. OR play this card as an automatic 2 space interception. Intervening space must be friendly controlled and free of enemy SPs. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept.

457 7/3/2017 11:26:00 PM Summer 1864 Confederate Message William,

Sorry, you don't get Richmond per the combat results table (and rule 7.10)

* In case of ties in non-Resource/non-capital spaces, the defender loses the battle. A destroyed Resource Space still helps the defender. A national or Union State Capital is considered a capital space.

456 7/3/2017 11:26:00 PM Summer 1864 Union Message Lots of stuff potentially happens from that. I'm sure I'll get this wrong, but 1st there is the large battle SW score, then when Grant flags Richmond the Capital is captures SW effect, and Resource Space is destroyed SW effect and SW swing on C Ft.loss. And if the situation stands, the State may fall as well in PC phase?

428 6/23/2017 6:35:00 PM Spring 1864 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #81: 3 / Emancipation Proclamation - Reshuffle/Remove
Either player must play this card as an EC on the Strategy Round immediately following a Union large or medium battle victory. Confederate loses 10 SW and 3 SPs (his choice). Union loses 5 SW. Flip GT marker to its Emancipation Proclamation side. Card must be the last one played by a player at which time it can be played as an OC card. If the play of this card as an OC results in a battle victory, there is no Emancipation Proclamation Remove from deck if event is played. If this card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at the end of the Strategy Phase.

Message from Confederate:
Saving SPs while I can
Polk takes 6SP
drops 2 in Appomatox, 1 in Burkeville, and delivers 3 to ANV and then returns (10 spaces as all on rail)
427 6/23/2017 6:30:00 PM Spring 1864 Confederate Message Too bad. Didn't need the elite and lost a general, but it was a battle I had to win so that Emancipation Proclamation would not take effect.

Also, by 12.3 I get a big VP swing

winner gains 3 +2 for COF, CS to 75+
loser loses 5, US to 77-
