69 4/30/2017 3:53:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Message I object to your objection...

You forget that the first battle pushed me back to HCS, where I had a fresh provincial unit stationed. I leave a wounded, bring along the fresh and arrive to the second battle with three fresh (6), one wounded (1) and two indians (2) = 9, using table 9-12

You have two wounded (4) and one fresh (3) = 7, using table 7-8

Also you forget that I have indians, you have not, so -1 DRM to you as the battle is fought in the wildernes because the fort is not finished. And Johnson has battle rating 1, Dieskau has battlerating 0, so + 1 DRM for UK

With result 4/1 it becomes 5/0, equal three hits against France and No Effect against UK. How can I lose that battle? Also you have to retreat but can't retreat into a fortified area which is very bad for drilled troops. That was the reason for me guessing at redo of avoid and such, as you actually lost your entire force in the battle because you couldn't retreat and I lost not a single step...

And regarding VP's, France got 1 VP from winning the first battle, so with the raiding VP France now have 2
68 4/30/2017 2:21:00 AM 1755 Early Season France Message And FR gets 1 VPs for rISA, So now has 1vp.
67 4/30/2017 2:19:00 AM 1755 Early Season France Change Hand Size Britain: from 8 to 8
France: from 8 to 9
66 4/30/2017 2:18:00 AM 1755 Early Season France Message Actually, the British have 8 strength (2x2, 2x1, and-2x1 indians) AND THE French HAVE 10, (2X3-4, AN 2 X 2-4), 4 for UK an 1 for France is 3/1. A battle you should have lost but did not. And vps are back to 0.
65 4/29/2017 4:02:00 PM 1755 Early Season Britain Message I have no file as I have no gam file to the game, so I can't make files. Can you mail me the gam-file, as you started the game?
64 4/29/2017 3:29:00 PM 1755 Early Season France Message Well, no. What I was going to ask you is where is the file so I can update the board?
63 4/28/2017 10:30:00 PM 1755 Early Season Britain Message Or you could ask me to let the French force avoid battle, as they could and should have when outnumbered at a dangerous position with no way to retreat and we can also agree on that one :-)
62 4/28/2017 10:27:00 PM 1755 Early Season Britain Message Either you ask if I am okay with letting Dieskau and the remaining wounded unit survive or you will ask for a restart. I am okay with both as France will have a difficult time defending your main land after this loss of units.
61 4/28/2017 9:47:00 PM 1755 Early Season France Message So, what do you think I might ask you?
60 4/28/2017 3:51:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #49: 1 / Call Out Militias
Place 1 Militia unit into a Militia Box or restore 2 to full strength.

Message from Britain:
And while we ponder the retreat I play this to get a militia in the South and thus end the turn...

59 4/28/2017 3:50:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Message Dieskau survives, France to take 3 loses and withdraw.

How is it with rivers? They count as supply but do they also count when drilled forces are forced to retreat?
58 4/28/2017 3:48:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Die roll request Request: 6-sided die x 1

Message from Britain:
Auch, France took a beating this time.

England has DRM +1 and end at 5 = 3 hits, and France has DRM -1 and end at no effect. Also French natural 1 call for a Leader loss roll. On a 1 Dieskau is killed

Message from Britain:
The second major battle over the strategic Hudson Carry North is about to commence with battle cards:
Shirley and Johnson with 4 Prov (one is wounded) and 2 Mohawk Indians (total 9) versus Dieskau and 1 X 3 + 2 x 2 (total 7).
England has aux-units, France has not, so -1 DRM to France. Dieskau (0) and Johnson (1), so +1 to DRM for England: So it is England str 9 with +1 DRM on 9-12 table vs France str 7 with DRM -1 on 6-8 table

Two dices. First one is attacker (England), second one is defender (France)

56 4/27/2017 9:49:00 PM 1755 Early Season France Message I thought I answered this already. Yes, fight.
55 4/27/2017 7:12:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Message Gordon: Run or fight the second Battle of Hudson Carry North?
54 4/24/2017 3:51:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Message And correction: It was France that defended, won and got the +1 VP. I still have the nationalities mixed up from last game :-)

And regarding your eyes: It doesn't sound good with your eyes! Will your eyes eventually recover or is the bad sight a lasting effect?
53 4/24/2017 3:48:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Message Does Dieskau call it a day and run away or does he want to fight?
52 4/24/2017 3:48:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Die roll request Request: 6-sided die x 1

Message from Britain:
Rolling for potential avoid battle for Dieskau and his units, need 4+ to have the possibility
51 4/24/2017 3:47:00 AM 1755 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #34: 3 / Small Pox
Choose a space with >4 units. Enemy eliminates steps equal to half a die roll (round up) or a full roll if >8 units present (reduce all before eliminating any). Then remove all Indians.

Message from Britain:
France get a modified 3, England get a modified 2, both suffers 2 hits. England win the battle as defender and get +1 VP as France attacked with 4+ units.

No risk for leader losses

French retreats to HCS and reduce two provincials. England reduce two of his units as well

The French High command does not want an English fort at HCN so one reduced Provincial is left behind at the Fort at HCS and the French forces (Shirley, Johnson, 3 full prov, 1 reduced prov, 2 indians) once more moves against HCN

Message from Britain:
The first major battle in the war and no one has any battle cards: So it is Shirley and Johnson with 4 Prov and 2 Mohawk Indians (strength 10) versus Dieskau and 3 X 3-4 (strength 9).

France has aux-units, England has not. As per rule 7.52 England suffers -1 DRM
Dieskau has battlerating 0, Johnson has battlerating 1, so +1 to DRM for France

So the fight is: Both sides fight on the 9-12 column, France has +1 DRM, England has -1 DRM

I roll two dices. First one is attacker (France), second one is defender (England)

49 4/24/2017 12:53:00 AM 1755 Early Season France Message Cards?
