Union may make a naval more with up to three SPs plus one general. Move may pass one ungarrisoned fort without “running the guns” to conduct an amphibious assault (may not pass an ironclad). Ignore first torpedo encountered during naval move. If the port space is captured it immediately receives a Union PC marker. Add +2 to Running the Guns die roll.

136 4/26/2017 10:35:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message 5.32 there is an example :

EXAMPLE: A Corps contains Fremont (P8)
and Burnside (P6) with 1 SP. The Union
activates Burnside with a 2OC, who moves
alone to an adjacent friendly controlled space then moves back
to its activation space and picks up Fremont and the 1SP. Burnside
is the active general in command. After Burnside completes his
activation, Fremont immediately becomes the commanding general
once the force is inactive due to his higher P rating.

Conclusion: A general can move alone.

It is worse thatI thought : player must play the entire OC to remove the PC (I thought that for example with a '2' card, player could 1. remove the PC, 2. place a PC somewhere...)

Cavalry brigades are good only fof armies, interceptions and to cut LOC.

OK so you have to take back your card and play agoin.
112 4/26/2017 5:15:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message Rules say that an army has the unique capability to place PC during mouvement.
I think that cavalry brigades cannot remove a PC during mouvement, only in a dedicated round (same as a corps).

109 4/26/2017 4:52:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Mathias,

Reading carefully the rules and after consulting other games i have played, i think the interpretation i make of the rule is correct.

I think we can be confusing between the rules to place PC markers and the rules to eliminate PC, turning spaces to neutral.

Cavalry only can eliminate enemy PC markers, an army or corp place your own Pc marker.
108 4/26/2017 3:13:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message Hi

You make a confusion with the rules. Cavalry brigade cannot remove PC like armies can, during the mouvement. It is with the play of an OC card, like corps:

5.53 CAVALRY RAID LIMITATIONS: Through the play of
an OC in a strategy round, a Cavalry Brigade can remove an enemy PC marker in a friendly (one that bears the color code of that side) or border space. (...) may remove enemy PC markers during the Political Control
Phase [11.1].
