basically i'm attacking from Franklin with 7 SPs (my generals to be used are at +6 DRM so i'm guaranteed 7 or better which would be 2* result) against Pope and his 11 SPs. you have nobody nearby to intercept but burnside is 2 spaces away if you have a 2 space intercept card like cigars. that would add an extra SP but most importantly boost your DRM by +2 for INT.

if you stand and fight or fail in a retreat roll (only friendly PC to pre-battle/discretionary retreat to is Wheeling WV) then you will have Pope's 0 defense and you get to use 1 subordinate only since JJ's attack is great than Pope's defense...you would want to use Stoneman at +2 which would give you total DRM of +2 going into battle.

if you want to attempt retreat to Wheeling, WV then you need a 0 (pope def rating) -2 DRM for cavalry present = 2 or less will succeed.

since you just built fort, there is no way you are going to retreat I assume but I will roll just to see if Buell even could.
