302 6/20/2017 6:54:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #82: 3 / Foreign Intervention - Reshuffle/Remove
Either player can play this card as an EC when Confederate SW is 110+. If this is the last card in a players hand or the second to last and the player holds the Emancipation Proclamation, if the condition is met, it must be played as an EC, if not it can be played as an OC. EFFECTS: 1. Union Blockade reduced by one (cannot become greater than 4 for the remainder of the game). 2. Union -2 SP Reinforcements for the remainder of the game (Union choice). 3. Union SW reduced by 10. Remove from deck if event is played. If card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at end of the Strategy Phase.

Message from Confederate:
wanted to play this earlier but rule book makes whomever holds this card like EP until end to see if event becomes playable...even though it was impossible for my SW to get high enough.

Activate A of T, you have no cards left and no defensive rating on Banks or Butler so no interception cards or rolls are possible.

will be bringing my force down to 4 SPs so i can fight on small battle table.
301 6/20/2017 6:49:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message good move to keep me from going on a raid unless i want to give up the Richmond space.

only good news is that if i can cut off banks from LOC then he can't place a PC marker and destroy resource space at turns end.
300 6/20/2017 1:26:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #52: 3 / Trent Affair
Confederate gains 5 SW points. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
Banks activates and moves to pacify the Virginia countryside
299 6/20/2017 1:18:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #53: 1 / CSS Arkansas
Confederate may place one Ironclad in a controlled port or coastal fort space.

Message from Confederate:
let's put this bad boy in Parkersburg, WV and hope you aren't able to get there without me first intercepting you. if you end an impulse in Parkersburg and i don't have troops there for a battle because i fail INT, then you destroy the ironclad.
298 6/20/2017 1:15:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Message i'm not OOS. i'm on an enemy PC in Grafton but that doesn't matter, defender traces supply from where they are. so i can trace to richmond or any other resource space right now both through:
Franklin, WV > Staunton
or
Weston, WV > Lewisburg, WV > Wytheville, VA

make sense? now if i attacked from Grafton, WV without first converting space in my next play then i would indeed be OOS for the attack.
297 6/20/2017 1:10:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Message Some brutal general casualty rolls bitter the taste of otherwise sweet victories for the CSA...

285 6/19/2017 11:57:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message Or I can roll if you want - just want to confirm; you want to use +6?
284 6/19/2017 9:29:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message I'll stand and fight - feel free to roll for combat
283 6/19/2017 8:31:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message - activate AONV, first move converts the space in Lewisburg. then move 2nd MP to drop some troops off with Lee...deciding what to do with remaining MPs.
- leave 3 SPs with Lee. attack A of Tenn in Grafton with 7 SPs
- do you have 2 space intercept card with Burnside or do you want to attempt a retreat?

basically i'm attacking from Franklin with 7 SPs (my generals to be used are at +6 DRM so i'm guaranteed 7 or better which would be 2* result) against Pope and his 11 SPs. you have nobody nearby to intercept but burnside is 2 spaces away if you have a 2 space intercept card like cigars. that would add an extra SP but most importantly boost your DRM by +2 for INT.

if you stand and fight or fail in a retreat roll (only friendly PC to pre-battle/discretionary retreat to is Wheeling WV) then you will have Pope's 0 defense and you get to use 1 subordinate only since JJ's attack is great than Pope's defense...you would want to use Stoneman at +2 which would give you total DRM of +2 going into battle.

if you want to attempt retreat to Wheeling, WV then you need a 0 (pope def rating) -2 DRM for cavalry present = 2 or less will succeed.
282 6/19/2017 5:46:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Message Sorry, can't see the log file (no vassal at work) - can you spell out the movement/potential battle situation so I can decide on reaction?
281 6/19/2017 5:38:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message Do you have a two space intercept card to use for burnside to join A of Tennessee or do you want to attempt a retreat?
280 6/19/2017 5:33:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #2: 2 / Copperheads
Reduce Union SW by two points, or place two PC markers in Ohio (must be placed in spaces free of Union SPs).

Message from Confederate:
that hurts...was really hoping to be in a better place so i could use this for the event purpose.

activate AONV, first move converts the space in Lewisburg. then move 2nd MP to drop some troops off with Lee...deciding what to do with remaining MPs.

277 6/17/2017 2:57:00 PM Summer 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #42: 2 / Kentucky Anarchy
Remove up to three enemy PC markers in Kentucky. You must also remove one of your own PC markers from the state if you have any there. Removal of a PC marker makes a space neutral. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
AoT activates, grabs Burnside +2SP and drops them in Pittsburg before converting wheeling and attacking Grafton. AoT intercept possible on 1-5
276 6/17/2017 11:44:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Message i'm doing both these moves back to back since you can't intercept and i highly doubt you would want to burn an interrupt card on these actions. but if so let me know.

your turn.

once you confirm you aren't cancelling i will do second move.
271 6/16/2017 5:04:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #84: 3 / Major Campaign
Conduct up to three moves or conduct one special army-size naval move. No SP, general, or army marker may be moved twice with the same campaign card. You must move a different force each move.

Message from Confederate:
first move is to activate AONV and run link up with A of T briefly to transfer some generals and scoop up SPs.

1st MP is to Charlottlesville if you have an interrupt card.
270 6/16/2017 10:52:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Message Oof. That's painful. Your navy game is causing Jeff Davis serious heartburn.

258 6/12/2017 4:43:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message well Buell did succeed in his roll.

Battle DRM's would be:

CSA: +2 Longstreet +2 force ratio (3-1) =4

US: +1 Buell +2 Fort = 3

Please let me know what you wish to do, fight or retreat. go ahead and roll combat yourself and finish log if you fight. i am out of movement points anyways. you will have to retreat if you lose or do discretionary retreat to a port in an original union state and can't pass forts to do so which means you cant retreat up Mississippi river for instance.

256 6/12/2017 4:40:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #124: 2 / Confederate Desertion
During a Union player’s turn cause a Confederate force to immediately execute an attrition procedure plus conduct Forage if force has no LOC. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Confederate:
This will take all of Longstreet's 8 MPs, move with 1 SP (1st-3rd) to Little Rock and grab 1 SP from there then (4th-8th) move back down through LA and TX to attack Buell at the fort in Sabine City, TX (6 SPs total as he scoops up SPs in Marshall and Nacogdoches on way).

since you just built fort, there is no way you are going to retreat I assume but I will roll just to see if Buell even could.
255 6/12/2017 3:22:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #80: 1 / Southern Religious Revival

241 6/11/2017 7:43:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message over to you to place the troops. that is so bizarre you were able to play card from one game onto another...hopefully that card isn't actually in discard pile now as it's a good recruit card for me

238 6/11/2017 7:34:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message yep, i just went through the log, you already played 7 cards...and my campaign card was my 7th card played. so your last card needs to go into discard. not sure how another card got in there on your hand.

236 6/11/2017 7:33:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message Hm. Good question. if i were going to potentially encounter other US generals in interception range or wanted to at least not give away my game plan, i could ask if you want to intercept in Graton but since it's last card play and you have no cards plus i know i'm not going against any other generals, I will roll for Curtis' shot to get in my way.
223 6/9/2017 1:13:00 AM Spring 1862 Confederate Message brave lone division gives as good as it gets but at least the path is free for supply/LOC to reach Lee again.
