229 9/7/2017 9:01:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message You actually did well, given your lack of reinforcement. Of course, I thought I was sitting pretty at OF with my trap. But then the battle went against me, and I thought you may have a chance if you get good cards for the last turn.
228 9/7/2017 8:55:00 PM 1759 Late Season France Message Thank you for a great game, Ron.

I debated about that, when you sent Wolfe to OCE. I figured that by taking HCS first, I have a little cushion, esp with Drucour in Quebec. Monty has a big army, and can attack multiple times at max. It'll be interesting to see on how the battles will dish out.
227 9/7/2017 8:00:00 AM 1759 Late Season Britain Message You did exactly what I wanted. Now is the time to play the Amphib card to land beside Quebec. You can get close to Quebec on your next move, but not on it. Then I go to Quebec, and have to withstand only one attack before I take it.

But alas, no.

For the third straight hand, I have no Amphib card. And no reinforcement card. The French have dominated with the power from the start with the initial failed British attack coming out of New York. Then my provincials just melted away, never to return. I have been playing the power underdog the whole game. I was LUCKY even to survive the trap recently at Ohio Forks (which I thought could have been the possibility, but I had to try given my desperate situation).

But I will not prolong the agony. I concede. With no amphib card, my army at Louisbourg sits again. Yes, I could sail back to New York, but it would use use up two cards just getting in position, and I have no real avenues of attack that would work in one hand. My hand is terrible, with four '1' cards which would not help Amherst at all.

Good game Jim. Good luck in the upcoming playoffs.
