USA SW down 5 to 93
414 4/19/2018 11:47:00 AM Summer 1863 Union Message Don't know why double < sometimes removes text and sometimes doesn't. I was quoting "The Confederate player may cross a river at a location that is denied Union naval control and does not contain a Union fort."

I believe I can attempt to intercept across the river but not positive and if so, would be in supply for the battle. I'll go ahead and roll it here. If I can't or won't be in supply, then I'll just fight in Humboldt (or if I fail on a roll of 6)

If this card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at the end of the Strategy Phase.

346 3/15/2018 8:18:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #104: 1 / Big Bethel
Either player may move up to two infantry SPs from the same space as if they were led by a General. This move is a Corps move and may enter enemy controlled spaces because the SPs are moving as if they are led by a general.

Message from Confederate:
Activate Lee and the AoT - leaves Beauregard and 3 SPs behind so moves with 3 SP:

MP 1: Convert Bowling Green
MP 2-3: To Dover - picks up Smith and 1 SP (n4( and Dover has 2 SP remaining
MP 4-5: To Columbus - picks up 3 SP (n7) - Columbus is now 5 SP with Longstreet and Wheeler's brigade
MP 6: Moves to join Price in Humboldt (n8)
345 3/15/2018 8:10:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #7: 1 / Mud March
Interrupt enemy force currently moving to no more than one space of movement. (Converting a space counts as movement.) Applies to only one move during a Major or Minor campaign card, but not a special army-naval move.

Message from Confederate:
Well, I guess I have to play this then. Hate to give you last move of the turn but that happens quite a bit any way due to "discards" and such.

AoM ends up in Paducah with 16 SP (1 not in the army I guess as I think it is okay to have more than 15 in a space?)
344 3/15/2018 3:37:00 AM Spring 1863 Union Message 7.41 it says:

"If the force is not an Army, the active general (if it is the attacking force) regardless of political rating or the inactive defending general with the highest political rating in the stack is the commanding general (in case of ties owning player chooses)."

So yes, it's non-optional that you pick the highest political ranking in the stack. Although you do get +2 DRM if there's a successful interception. Also note: A player may only make one interception attempt per enemy move - so Pemberton and Longstreet cannot both attempt to intercept.
343 3/14/2018 10:56:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Just want to make sure about this...

If Longstreet is able to intercept in Humboldt, is he the commanding general or would that be Price? I believe interception does not override the fact that Price has a higher rating but thought I'd run it by you. Of course for me it would be better with Longstreet's "3" def value rather than Price's "1"
342 3/14/2018 5:18:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #89: 1 / Quaker Guns
Play as an interrupt to cancel the activation of any Union general with a strategy rating of 2 or 3.

Message from Union:
1. AotM to Paducah, pick up Pope/4 (Paducah n1, AotM now Grant/Pleasanton/Pope/15)
2-5. AotM to Cairo, Ironton, Greenville, New Madrid.
6. AotM attack New Madrid -> Humboldt

You have multiple reaction possibilities.
