127 11/18/2017 4:35:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #128: 3 / Union Naval Supply Shortage
The Union blockade level is decreased by one. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
Activate Pope in Somerset, KY - moves alone:

MP 1-3 to Cincinnati - picks up the 6 SP
MP 4-7 to Grafton - picks up 2 SP (n8)
MP 8 to Franklin to attack Van Dorn and 1 SP

You could try to intercept with Morgan so I'll wait...
126 11/18/2017 3:30:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message yes the Morgan counter is alone on the map, but when a cav brigade is with an army, the SP tracker for the army includes the cav brigade in it's numbers, so the AoP has 5 total SP's (one of which is cavalry). Forrest is on the map with 9 other infantry SP's. If I make that stack an army, the strength will be 10.
125 11/18/2017 3:06:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message Ok but just to be clear as far as my map for tracking this game:

In Strasburg, there is only the Morgan brigade counter, correct?

and now the AOP marker is at the 4 SP rather than 5?

and so on for the other 2 CSA new ones.
124 11/18/2017 3:02:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message what you are missing is that the cav. brigade counts as an SP...you are replacing the infantry SP with a cavalry SP in other words
123 11/18/2017 2:58:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message Rules Question on cavalry leader placement. It says that when a cavalry general is placed, that leader and 1 SP from the space are removed from the board and replaced by the cavalry brigade marker. If I read that correctly, then that would mean the following:

Stoneman in the AOP with 4 (not 5) SP since one had to be removed.

Forrest in ACH with 9 (not 10) SP

Wheeler in Dover with A.S. Johnston and 1 (not 2) SP

Morgan with no (not 1) SP in Strasburg

Is this correct?

65 11/1/2017 11:47:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message agreed, I think we should go with the way they were labelled not by the incorrect DRM. this yields a 1/1 result, so Beau with 2 retreats back to Wytheville, Mac with 3 is left in Lewisburg.
64 11/1/2017 11:22:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message I think I messed it up the same way on the previous battle too. Funny thing is that I meant to put the attacker first both times but for some reason confused that I'm the Union. I played/am playing the Rebs in my previous games so first game as Union for me. Anyway, I'll be more careful in upcoming rolls and will try to put the attacker first and get DRMs correct.
63 11/1/2017 11:13:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Sorry about that. I believe the dice should stand and just switch the modifiers. Would that be a 5 for the Confederate and a 6 for the Union?

MP 3: back to Frederick - drops 4 (Frederick n6)
MP 4: Banks then moves alone back to rejoin the AoP in DC.
