200 2/3/2018 5:30:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message Sorry it didn't work out. you have a good board position and the right idea of strategy. Of course things are always pretty good for the CSA until Grant joins the fight.

ACTS was down at some point, and I didn't check back in ...

I'm not passing my own personal morale check on this game. I'll concede this game to you.

Sorry about my delays in playing. Thanks.

191 1/22/2018 11:37:00 AM Spring 1862 Union Message I regret to inform you that your last move, while legal, did not accomplish anything near what you hoped
read 5.53 Cavalry Raid Limitations Cav Bde or corps or armies consisting solely of cav bdes can only remove PCs in originally friendly states or originally neutral states, thus while Franklin gets a CSA PC and WV converts to CSA control, Pittsburgh does not get a CS PC nor does Washington OH, in addition since Pittsburg remains US PC, the CS inf and cav units in OH are OOS and thus the inf can't place pcs either
190 1/21/2018 11:57:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message I'll try to do moves in evenings. I can't do moves at work as work computer doesn't allow Vassal or Cyberboard.

As noted, if you want to get another chunk of moves done, there's 3 options for this week...

Thanks. Good night.

These PC Markers (in contravention of rule 11.3D), CAN be placed in blockade runner ports/ and or resource spaces devoid of Confederate SPs or forts (but may contain an Ironclad or Torpedoes), resulting in their immediate destruction. Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5.

If played by Union, reduce Confederate SW by 2; if played by Confederate, Confederate immediately receives two SPs in any Blockade Runner port, no more than one SP per port, but more than 1SP per Blockade zone is permitted. 161 1/21/2018 9:56:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Yes, sorry. I didn't even read that Gadsen. Yes, PJ in Gadsen.

Also, I was planning on putting the AOW sp in AONV, but I read the card as saying that I have to control the state... and decided that I can't place 3rd sp in AONV. If I can place in AONV, I'd like to do that instead.
160 1/21/2018 9:53:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message instead of FT PJ which already has 1SP, did you mean Ft Gadsen that I just killed the garrison of?
159 1/21/2018 9:48:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #37: 2 / Confederate Scientist
Confederate immediately receives three SPs in any friendly controlled space with a LOC, free of Union SPs or forts. No more than one SP per confederate controlled state. No SPs may be placed in Pro-Union spaces.

Message from Confederate:
OK, thanks for clarification.

Place sp in Ft PJ (n1), Dover TN (n2 including cav), AOW (n7)
158 1/21/2018 9:40:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message that's a legal move at the start position since the fort at Columbus KY and Ft PJ deny UNC
wouldn't work with our current board as no North end fort or ironclad to DUNC above Ft PJ
157 1/21/2018 9:32:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Since you appear to know rules better than me... I think I can't use Confed Riverine move to reinforce Ft PJ unless I both Deny US River Control on Miss and also have sp in New Orleans (the associated blockade port)? I think I have played where I've floated SP from like Little Rock, but now that I'm reading the rules, that doesn't seem to be allowed?
156 1/21/2018 9:29:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message OK, thanks. I forgot that math...
155 1/21/2018 9:28:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message that's the result, although the math is somewhat different

129 1/17/2018 7:19:00 PM Fall 1861 Moderator Message Bob, this is a strong warning to make up moves to catch up. Looking over the journal, you have moved since late Nov. That is not going to work since you will not be able to finish this round in time.

So please play synch up with your opponent to arrange a convenient time for both of you to log in and play for a block of time. Tournament rule states that if a player does not move in one week+, his game can be forfeited. I am trying to be a bit lenient to account for the holidays and personal/family issues. Your opponent has been patient. But this is a last warning to at least communicate with him or the GM.
