126 11/19/2017 5:25:00 PM Spring 1862 Union Message Holy Smokes! You're correct, B&O DOES count for the WDC rail connection! I've been certain for years that it doesn't, but 10.24 says otherwise. I'm only out 2SP for your PC in Harrisburg and Philly.

I need to redo my reinforcements. It will be awhile, but should be done by tonight.
125 11/19/2017 4:54:00 PM Spring 1862 Confederate Message Have I actually cut off your DC reinforcements? I thought you could trace a path through the B&O Railroad and Ohio? Do not neutral squares not count or something?

118 11/19/2017 1:29:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Attrition:

Cairo -1sp (n2)
Richmond -1sp (n3)
I think that's everything?
117 11/19/2017 1:25:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message PC Phase:
You get Lewistown, Johnstown, Pittsburgh, Uniontown, and Grafton
I get Sprinfield, Rolla, and Ironton, which gives me Missouri for +10sw (+2 more) to 106+
Then we both get -5 (-3 more = -8) for war weariness/guilt.
I have it at Union 94-, CSA 98-
116 11/19/2017 1:20:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Yes I want to intercept into Harrisburg
Yes I wind up at 2sp in AoNV either way.

Man, that random discard to let you have the final move made my turn A LOT worse. Well-played. :-(
115 11/19/2017 10:44:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message I assume that you'll take the intercept. If so, my force dies, Banks to TT, and AnV is n2 if I roll higher than a 1. AnV would be at n2 anyway, due to attrition.

It depends on where you want your army to end the turn so it's your call.

Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5.

The Union player may randomly remove one strategy card from the Confederate hand, which is discarded.

Message from Union:

1SP from Baltimore n1 goes to AoP n9

82 11/14/2017 9:46:00 AM Summer 1861 Union End Turn
81 11/14/2017 9:45:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message Pope also loses an SP in Cairo n5.
80 11/14/2017 9:42:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message You're correct on being able to recover the SP's in next turns SR phase. As long as they're joining an army, they don't need a RR, just a LoC to the army.
79 11/14/2017 2:08:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message End of turn I get PC of Harpers Ferry and Frederick, and I think that's it.
I believe attrition is 1 in Bloomington (Buell, n5) and 1 in AoP (n3) for you plus 1 in AoNV (n4) for me.
78 11/14/2017 1:58:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Assuming I understand the rules correctly (and reinforcing into an army does not care about railroads), the rest of my turn will be to:
leave 1 SP in Strasburg (n1, AoNV n6)
m5 to Culpeper
leave 1sp there (n1, AoNV n5)
m6 to Wilderness
77 11/13/2017 3:18:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message (3 to 1 force ratio means no general casualty roll)
Can I ask a rules question before I finish my movement? I think I understand how it works but it has always struck me as odd so I want to double-check: my SP from Harpers Ferry and Frederick will be able to rejoin the AoNV during strategic reinforcement, right? There aren't RR connections, but that just doesn't matter for reinforcing into an army, right?
76 11/13/2017 3:14:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message So 3 vs 3*
AoNV now has 7sp
Halleck's 3sp are gone and Halleck moves to the turn track

73 11/13/2017 2:55:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Yeah I also worry about mixing up games and/or getting my maps out of synch so I just never close them. Both are open at all times and I hope my computer never restarts itself :-)
72 11/13/2017 2:38:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message And I also failed to reduce AoP's SP count when I thought I dropped 1. I open and close the Vassal files for my 2 games multiple times a day and don't always save them between, foolishly relying on my memory to update them when I open it again. I may have reduced AoP at one point and then closed without saving.

I'm very paranoid that I'll save your game as my other opponents, or his game as yours!
71 11/13/2017 2:31:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Ah crap, I thought I left one there in message #45 when I attacked Manassas. Leaving forts guarded is a no brainer but I still failed to mention it!

I could have rectified my screw up in my last activation by having Burnside drop an SP off but I've been using an inaccurate map so thought it was covered.

Let that be a lesson to you (and me). Be careful to always review your messages multiple times for accuracy!

AnV n12 is in Frederick at 1MP.
70 11/13/2017 1:21:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message I have you with no SP in Frederick, so there shouldn't have been a battle at all. I just blow up your fort. (You started the turn with AotP there, moved them out, and never said you were leaving any SP behind ... plus your AotP SP numbers seem to indicate that you took everyone with you anyway.)
69 11/13/2017 10:16:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message My bad, I forgot your force ratio. AnV loses 2SP n10 (I only have 1SP so can't kill more than 2). You kill my SP and fort and win the battle.

57 11/11/2017 1:53:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message People do it different ways. Sometimes the mover tells his entire planned route up front to let the other player pick his best intercept. That saves some time, but it's not how I do it!

I typically just go a step at a time. It takes longer but I'm not telegraphing my intentions. If my route is obvious, then I may do it the first way.

I'm not intercepting in the Wilderness.
56 11/11/2017 1:17:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #75: 2 / Western Concentration Block
Confederate player can either remove or demote an army commander in any state except Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida for no political cost. OR Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5 Remove from deck if event is played.

55 11/11/2017 11:59:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #115: 2 / Galveston
