76 11/21/2017 11:10:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Yes, you can add this to your next file when you do strategic rail and finish up your last two overruns.

Confederacy liberates Winchester
attrition in Philadelphia, Cairo, and Richmond
75 11/21/2017 4:50:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Beauregard to the turn track
74 11/21/2017 4:50:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Die roll request Request: 6-sided die x 1

Message from Confederate:
since you're overrunning everything, I doubt Beauregard's success or failure will impact where you place your "found" SP

that was a costly way to save Charleston
Beauregard to intercept, needing a 1
73 11/21/2017 4:46:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message during my mix-up with the Armies of Tennessee, I also erroneously moved the Army of the Potomac strength marker from 6 to 5. Therefore, you have a "missing" SP which you could just leave in the Army of the Potomac or place in Manassas, DC, or anywhere else along its path of movement.
72 11/21/2017 2:33:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #26: 3 / Cotton is King
If played by Union, reduce Confederate SW by 2; if played by Confederate, Confederate immediately receives two SPs in any Blockade Runner port, no more than one SP per port, but more than 1SP per Blockade zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
- Activate AoP
1. Move to DC
- Banks and 3 SP added to AoP
- AoP up to 8
2 Move to Fredrick take both guys into AoP
- 3 - Overrun in Harpers Ferry
- 4 Overun in Chambersburg
- 5 Move to Harrisburg. Wait for intercept roll by Beauregard (or not)

If you don't intercept, I Overrun in Harrisburg and then attack Beauregard in Philadelphia for final move.
71 11/20/2017 5:53:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message 4. Beauregard drops an SP in Winchester
5. enter Harpers Ferry with 4 SPs where McDowell may two-space intercept with a card

if no intercept,
5-7. drop 1 SP each in Harpers Ferry, Chambersburg, and Harrisburg
8. end move with 1 SP in Philadelphia
70 11/20/2017 1:04:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message CSA wins battle. Each side takes 1 SP casualty

Message from Union:
AoP attempts intercept in Culpeper. Success on 1.
67 11/20/2017 12:48:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message It just means the move must include an attack. For example, I could've activated Richmond instead and there's obviously no adjacent attack, but as long as the force eventually attacks, then the use of the event is valid.

Beauregard continues; I'll assume no intercepts (but you are free to change your mind)

2-3. Culpeper and Strasburg
4. attack Winchester

Note, if this were not a concentration, WV and western Pennsylvania are wide open. However, there's nothing to attack there, so I cannot use the concentration to move that way.

No cards on attack; you are free to intercept at either Culpeper or Strasburg. Otherwise, feel free to resolve the attack.
66 11/19/2017 6:46:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message also, you forgot the +/-1 SW shift for taking Ft Sumter

Union 103(+) / Confederacy 106(-)
65 11/19/2017 6:41:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #75: 2 / Western Concentration Block
Confederate player can either remove or demote an army commander in any state except Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida for no political cost. OR Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5 Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Confederate:

Message from Union:
Remove SP in Richmond and in Ft. Sumter
58 11/17/2017 5:07:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message You are correct that my defender dies, but that does not guarantee you the space because you still have to win the battle. (get a 1*/1 result)

Note, 7.33A: If the space contained a fort or coastal fort, the defender wins and the attacker retreats.
57 11/17/2017 4:13:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message If I do a Naval move to FT. Sumter with 3 guys and a general. I think I get +3 to your +2. Which will guarantee your guy dying and me ending up in the Ft. Does that sound right to you?
56 11/17/2017 3:56:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message I've been looking up rules all night. No move today!

43 11/15/2017 7:00:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Message note, your save file does not include my strategic rail, so I reloaded my Strategic Rail log and assigned both sets of generals
42 11/15/2017 6:53:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Note, technically, both players place their generals face down and reveal them simultaneously. So, you actually gave me more information than I needed to know (I ignored the die roll and just read the three designations). When I'm the Union player, I always request the Confederate randomize both sets of generals.

I will place all of my generals (including Stuart) in Richmond.

7-8, end move in Louisville with 1 SP, Albert Johnston in command
32 11/11/2017 3:25:00 PM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Per your e-mail, 4 in Manassas and 1 in Frederick
31 11/11/2017 5:33:00 AM Spring 1861 Confederate Message Note, you attacked Johnston with 6, lost 1 and left 1 behind. That leaves the army with 4 with 2 in Frederick.

Thus, you could not leave 1 in Frederick behind and attack Beauregard with 6. You either left 1 behind and attacked with 5 or attacked with 6 and left none in Frederick.

So, now you either have 4 in Manassas and 1 in Frederick or 5 in Manassas.

In either event, Beauregard and 1 SP retreat to Fredericksburg.

I'll wait for you to send a corrected Vassal log before proceeding.

20 11/10/2017 3:32:00 AM Spring 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #82: 3 / Foreign Intervention - Reshuffle/Remove
Either player can play this card as an EC when Confederate SW is 110+. If this is the last card in a players hand or the second to last and the player holds the Emancipation Proclamation, if the condition is met, it must be played as an EC, if not it can be played as an OC. EFFECTS: 1. Union Blockade reduced by one (cannot become greater than 4 for the remainder of the game). 2. Union -2 SP Reinforcements for the remainder of the game (Union choice). 3. Union SW reduced by 10. Remove from deck if event is played. If card is played as an OC or discarded re-shuffle deck at end of the Strategy Phase.

We will continue to allow people to sign up til 11/15. But in the meantime, many people who have been waiting can be paired up and start.
