203 2/6/2018 10:04:00 PM 1757 Early Season France Message That was a good Indian roll and would have made a decent raid roll too.
2 Caughnawaga Indians and an Allied marker appear in Kahnawake along with the stockade and reduced regular there.
1 Ojibwa and 1 Potawatomi Indian appear in Pay d'en Haut
The reduced Algonquin at Lac des Deux Montagnes is flipped to full strength.

Message from France:
Use this to move some more Indians and a Leader.
Cataraqui: Villiers moves to Winooski.
Green Mountain South: Algonquin Indian moves to Hoosic and tries to infiltrate the stockade there and move onto Northhampton and raid there. You can try and intercept at Hoosic from Hudson Carry South and if successfully intercepted the militia could join the battle. I'll let you decide and roll.
St-Francois: 1 Abenaki Indian moves to Winooski.
Mississauga: 1 Missassauga Indian moves to Ohio Forks by boat move.
Ohio Forks: 1 Potawatomi Indian moves thru Grist's Station (where your ranger could intercept) to Laurel Ridge South and attacks your force there hoping to cause some casualties. Battle would be 1 vs 11 factors.

Play if Louisbourg Squadrons REMOVED, if you control Louisbourg, or after 1759. REMOVE French may not play Diplomatic Revolution, Victories in Germany, Troop Transports, or Regulars. Starting next season, French get 7 cards and British go first.

Message from France:
I'll use this to move some Indians and a leader:
Dumas moves from Ohio Forks to Laurel Ridge North
1 Huron and 1 Ottawa Indian move from Pays d'en Haute to Laurel Ridge North joining Dumas
1 Patawatomi Indian from Pays d'en Haute to Ohio Forks
1 Algonquin Indian (the full strength one) moves from Lac des deux Montagnes through Montreal, through Ile aux Noix, Winooski, Green Mountain Central, Wood Creek to Green Mountain South.

Replace a Siege 1 or Siege 2 marker on the map with Siege 0. (You must use a whole Action Phase to play this event.)

182 1/29/2018 7:31:00 AM 1757 Early Season France Message I could have moved a lot of Indians with that card. lol
181 1/29/2018 7:30:00 AM 1757 Early Season France Discard random Strategy card Operations - 3 / Louisbourg Squad.

Message from France:

175 1/27/2018 7:59:00 PM 1756 Late Season Britain End Turn Deck was reshuffled.

174 1/27/2018 7:59:00 PM 1756 Late Season Britain Message Tidying up:

Yes Shirley fell back with a reduced regular regiment (post 170).

Everything looks correct.
173 1/27/2018 11:33:00 AM 1756 Late Season Britain Message The site was down when I tried to work through this yesterday. Will do a comb-through shortly.
172 1/24/2018 10:58:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Message End of 1756 phases:
Indians and leaders go home:
Abenaki Indian and Algonquin reduced Indian at Wood Creek go home to St Francois and Lac des Deux Montagues respectively.
Mohawk reduced Indian at Green Mountain South goes home to Canajoharie
All other Indians or leaders are in fortifications or are at home I think.

Remove raided markers:
Remove the raid marker at Peekskill and award the French 1 victory point. Victory points go up from 7 to 8 VPs in the French favor.

Attrition:
All units appear safe this year.

No sudden death victory conditions so we go to 1757.

Look this over and see if I missed anything.
171 1/24/2018 8:20:00 AM 1756 Late Season France Message I'll let you look this over and see if I missed anything before ending the turn.
170 1/24/2018 8:20:00 AM 1756 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #42: 3 / British Politics
Slide Provincial Assemblies marker one box in a favorable direction. (If French play, British player removes Provincials as needed.)

Message from France:
Whew! I was sweating that roll since there was a 1 in 18 chance that the French regulars could get wiped out with no retreat option.
Battle Results:
French lose 2 factors and one regular and one coureur flip.
British lose 5 factors which will eliminate two units and flip the other. The remaining reduced unit (probably a reduced regular since the light infantry could be technically replaced but your choice) retreats with Shirley back to the stockade at Oneida Carry East and the stockade and fieldworks are destroyed.
No leader losses. French gain 2 victory points - one for the stockade and one for a victory against drilled troops and victory points go from 5 to 7 victory points.
I will use this activate Montcalm for movement. He will take the entire force and boat move back to Montreal. Along the way, he will drop the reduced coureur at the stockade at Niaoure and the reduced regular and Drucour at the cultivated space at Kahnawake. This leaves 6 regulars and 2 coureurs, Montcalm and Vaudreuil in Montreal.

Message from France:
Battle at Oneida Carry West stockade:
1st roll attacking French under Montcalm with 7 regulars and 3 coureurs for 24 factors reduced to the 17-21 column by the fieldworks and with a net of +1 (+2 for Montcalm and -1 for the stockade).
2nd roll defending British force with 2 regulars and 1 light infantry under the 6-8 column with no adds.
168 1/24/2018 3:52:00 AM 1756 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #10: 1 / Fieldworks
Play before Battle if you have Drilled Troops. If defending, place marker--attacker shifts 1 column left. If attacking, remove defender's marker. (Marker also removed anytime owner chooses or if attackers win.)

Message from Britain:
In for a penny...

I'll throw this in to reduce your punch just a little.

You roll please. Am in Kent. Canterbury visit this morning.
167 1/23/2018 11:49:00 AM 1756 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #46: 2 / Colonial Recruits
Roll a die and restore that number of reduced Coureurs, Rangers, Light Infantry, or Provincials to full strength.

Message from France:
This may be a risky move but I will try it anyway even though it is very late in the season. Use this to activate Montcalm at Winooski. He has 7 full strength regulars and 1 reduced regular, 3 Coureurs des bois, 26 factors, and leaders Drucour and Vaudreuil. He will leave the reduced regular and take all the remaining forces (24 factors) and leaders there and move by boat:
Ile aux Noix (which has a stockade)
Montreal (this is the one overland move allowed)
then by river and lake to Oneida Carry West to battle Shirley and the 2 regulars and 1 light infantry there.
Battle would be 8 factors British vs 24 French with +2 for Montcalm and -1 for the stockade.
You may try and avoid battle or try to intercept with the light infantry in Oneida Carry East. I'll let you decide and roll. If you avoid battle I will capture the stockade and gain 1 victory point.
166 1/23/2018 11:22:00 AM 1756 Late Season France Message See log 95 and 96 for the event and coureurs placement.
165 1/23/2018 11:21:00 AM 1756 Late Season France Message I think the extra coureur at Winooski (I have 3 there) came from Quebec and the Acadians Expelled event which you played earlier in the game. It is easy to miss that extra Courerus placement at Quebec. Then Montcalm moved that one to Winooski recently making 3 there now.
164 1/23/2018 3:39:00 AM 1756 Late Season Britain Message I'm away from home Tues/Weds. Will have laptop.
163 1/21/2018 4:59:00 AM 1756 Late Season Britain Message Don't worry about interruption. These things happen. I have had the cold+type virus that is now well into its 2nd week and is frankly debilitating. Thankfully it is not the flu that many people are getting in the UK at the moment.
162 1/15/2018 5:44:00 AM 1756 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #12: 1 / Ambush!
Play before Battle in Wilderness or Mountain if you have Auxiliaries. May not be played if enemy has Fort, Light Infantry, or more Auxiliary units than you. Fire first, double strength (before any column shifts), unless enemy also ambushes.

Message from Britain:
Shirley builds a stockade in Oneida Carry West.
161 1/15/2018 5:37:00 AM 1756 Late Season Britain Message >I have 3 coureurs des bois at Winooski with Montcalm

I've clearly misplaced the odd unit, including that stockade. I am tracking the game using Vassal, doing a named sequential save after each play. I suspect that at some point I loaded an earlier save and missed something. Here are where I see Coureurs:

Ohio Forks, Venango, Cataraqui (2), Green Mtns Central, Winooski (2)and one in the force pool.

You are bound to be right about Winooski, but can you tell me what I have incorrect please?

160 1/15/2018 5:21:00 AM 1756 Late Season Britain Message I might be trying to give Montcalm "shall I divert from the plan?" dilemmas.
159 1/14/2018 1:23:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Message You do realize that Montcalm could reach Oneida Carry West in one move by using boat movement don't you?
158 1/14/2018 1:22:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Message Only 2 Indians join with that effort.
1 Huron Indian at Pay d'ed Haut
1 Mississauga Indian at Mississauga with Allied marker

Message from France:
Northern Indian Alliance roll. Since French VP > 4 this is a full roll.
156 1/14/2018 1:15:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Event #25: 2 / Northern Indian
Play if you control Montreal. Place BLUE or--if you have a fort at Niagara-- BLUE/ORANGE Indian units totalling half a die roll (rounded up), or a full roll if French VP >4. Place units at their settlements. For every 1 you could place, you may instead restore 2 to full.

Message from France:
Interesting move on your part. I have 3 coureurs des bois at Winooski with Montcalm and a total of 26 factors there.
I'll play this as an event and try to raise some Indians for the next year.
155 1/13/2018 6:53:00 PM 1756 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #44: 2 / Raise Regiments
May not be played if Assemblies Reluctant. Within Assemblies track limits, place 4 Northern or 2 Southern Provincial units at any fortifications in their Department, or restore all Provincials of one Department to full.

Message from Britain:
Leaving a 2-6 Light regiment behind, Shirley moves (Oneida Carry East) – O C West with the two 3-4 regiments and other 2-6 Light.
154 1/13/2018 6:50:00 PM 1756 Late Season Britain Message I did my best to keep Montcalm out of the way, but he seems to be back. How many Coureurs do you have in Winooski now?
153 1/12/2018 4:10:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Message That was a boat move by Montcalm.
152 1/12/2018 4:09:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #63: 1 / Highlanders
Play after 1758 or William Pitt. REMOVE Place one 4-4 Highland unit and a leader, if available, at any ports.

Message from France:
So the three British regulars and Loudoun enter at Alexandria joining the ranger unit there.

Use this to activate Montcalm at Quebec. He takes the two regulars and the coureur and moves all to Winooski joining the force there. This leaves two leaders, Bougainville and Dieskau in Quebec.

146 1/10/2018 10:32:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Message You need to play the William Pitt card to get Wolfe into the game at this point and I don't see that card play in the log but you must have it.
145 1/10/2018 6:23:00 PM 1756 Late Season Britain Message That adds Wolfe and completes these plays. Over to you.

Mohawk in Green Mountain South avoids back to Deerfield on 4-6.
135 1/10/2018 5:57:00 PM 1756 Late Season Britain Message No blockhouses to play, so shall work through these.

I've put a stockade back in Cataraqui. It might have got moved with someone, so if I ever factor in one where you haven't got one logged, that would be why.
134 1/9/2018 10:51:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Message You might have the blockhouse card to play as response event so I'll let you decide and roll the raids, interceptions and possible battles. The Northern Militia should not be able to deploy against most of these raids since there are no stockades at those places (unless you play the blockhouse card as a response). An successful interception at Easton will cause a battle there against the regular and then a Southern militia could deploy to that battle. Playing the blockhouse card will shorten your hand by another card but it might be worth it.
133 1/9/2018 10:42:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Set Deck Reshuffle Deck will be reshuffled before next deal
132 1/9/2018 10:42:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #6: 3 / Surrender!
Play in place of a roll on the Siege Table. At Louisbourg, you must already have Siege 1 or 2. Capture the fort or fortess intact. Enemy player places defenders at his closest unbesieged fortification.

NOTE: The deck will be reshuffled before next turn's cards are dealt.

Message from France:
3 OPS:
1 & 2 move 4 Indians
1. 1 Abenaki from Green Mountain Central to Green Mountain South to battle the reduced Mohawk there. You may try and avoid battle so I'll let you decide.
2. 1 Algonquin from Katskills to Peekskill to raid.
3. 1 Ottawa from Katskills to Poughkeepsie to raid.
4. 1 Potawatomi from Tuscarora Hills to infiltrate through Easton then downriver to Trenton to raid.
3rd movement point: 1 coureurs des bois moves from the fort at Niagara to the stockade at Cataraqui joining the force there with Levis and Villiers.
131 1/9/2018 10:29:00 PM 1756 Late Season France Message French stockade at Cataraqui is in the initial setup under Early war Campaign as well as the one at Oswegatchie. My map has an "S" for stockade at those two locations. I built the stockade at Naioure Bay during the first year prior to taking fort Oswego which just has a fort under construction now.
