360 3/30/2018 11:36:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Message Well, you get to try the British this time again. I have the board set up and I'll get the game going in ACTS.

Message from France:
Yes, there is no need to continue with this game. I really feel that I was lucky in this game. The provincial assemblies were almost always reluctant and those troops are much needed for the British/American side to have a chance. Also, I was fortunate in winning some key battles. The cards seemed to favor the French side too in this game. We will chalk this one up to some good fortune for the French and Indians.
This roll is to see which side we play in the next scenario.
1-3 = you are French
4-6 = you are British
358 3/30/2018 7:28:00 AM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Shall we stop at this point as it is all over apart from some accounting.

I'm happy to have a roll for sides. I quite like having to play what I am dealt.

I decided to play a 'Wilderness focused' strategy this time. Normally I make sure that the Halifax route is given enough emphasis.
357 3/29/2018 8:30:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Message All the French leaders survive. That should be the game and the highest score that I have seen for the French at 13 VPs. Montcalm will retire back to Montreal with most of the force with my next move. You have units that may suffer attrition near Ohio Forks.

Message from France:
Shirley almost pulled it off but losses with a 5 to 5 result giving the French another victory point and making it now 13 VPs. I will flip the two Indians and 3 regulars for my 5 loss factors. British will lose all their regulars and fall back to Canajoharie with the ranger. Leader loss rolls for the French:
1st roll Bougainville
2nd roll Montcalm
3rd roll Vaudreuil.

1st roll attacking British under Shirley with Webb and Johnson and 8 regulars and one ranger for 26 factors under the 22-27 column with -1 for the stockade.
2nd roll defending French force under Montcalm with Vaudreuil and Bougainville with 5 regulars, 2 Indians, 1 coureur and 1 reduced coureur for 18 factors under the 17-21 column with +2 for Montcalm.

Montcalm and all the force and Vaudreuil at Oneida Carry West will try and intercept at the stockade at Oneida Carry East. Need 1-5 to intercept.
353 3/28/2018 1:16:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Have bought a new laptop and am in the process of setting everything up (including Acts for when on the move). It is going to take some time...
352 3/24/2018 1:53:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Am home and catching up. You still need to resolve the desperate advance I have made.

How about trying the Annus Mirabilis scenario when this wraps up shortly?
351 3/21/2018 7:16:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #41: 3 / British Politics
Slide Provincial Assemblies marker one box in a favorable direction. (If French play, British player removes Provincials as needed.)

Message from Britain:
Desperate measures.

Leaving the 1-4 Northern Provincial behind, Shirley Moves everyone else (Schenectady) – Canajoharie – Oneida Carry East. You might react in various ways. Will leave you to resolve this one and will not add my final card to any battle.

Shirley force is Murray, Johnson, Webb, eight 3-4 regiments and a 2-6 Ranger = 26 strength.
350 3/21/2018 5:14:00 AM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Yes am pondering what to do to try to stay within the 'zone'. It might turn out to be a desperate attack. Again.

Am travelling. Will make a play later.
349 3/19/2018 9:20:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Message With only 2 cards left and a 2 point requirement to overcome and winter approaching it looks dim for the British/American side.
348 3/19/2018 9:18:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Event #50: 1 / Call Out Militias
Place 1 Militia unit into a Militia Box or restore 2 to full strength.

Message from France:
I will play this to place a 2nd militia unit in the St. Lawrence Canadian box.
347 3/19/2018 9:16:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Message While not inflicting significant casualties to either side the Mingo reduced Indians do scare off the rangers with a NE to NE result.

344 3/18/2018 7:50:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #11: 1 / Ambush!
Play before Battle in Wilderness or Mountain if you have Auxiliaries. May not be played if enemy has Fort, Light Infantry, or more Auxiliary units than you. Fire first, double strength (before any column shifts), unless enemy also ambushes.

Message from Britain:
The 1-6 Ranger in Braddock’s force peels off.

It moves (Upper Monongahela) – Migo Town to attempt to RAID. You might intercept from Logstown, so I’ll leave it to you to roll.
343 3/18/2018 7:44:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Battle fallout: keep the Cherokee unflipped. It might be useful..
342 3/17/2018 4:22:00 PM 1758 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Event #68: 3 / French Regulars
May not be played if French Regulars already played this season or after Quiberon. REMOVE Place two 3-4 Regular units, and, if not yet in play, Montcalm, Levis, & Bougainville at either Quebec or Louisbourg.

Message from France:
I'll play this as an event and bring in the last two French regulars at Quebec which has Dieskau already there.
341 3/17/2018 4:21:00 PM 1758 Late Season France Message The French win at Ohio Forks again with a 5 to 4 result. For the 4 loss factors, I will flip the full strength Marine detachment and one regular and both Caughnawaga Indians. The British have 5 loss factors which will flip the full strength Provincial and at least three regulars and either the Cherokee Indian or the 4th full strength regular (you will have one full strength unit not flipped due to the loss rules but it is your choice). No leaders lost this time and Braddock falls back to Upper Monongahela stockade. French pick up one more victory point which is now at 12 VPs in the French favor.

Message from France:
3rd battle I think at Ohio Forks:
1st roll attacking British under Braddock:
Leaving a 1-4 reduced Provincial behind, Braddock takes everyone else to Ohio Forks to fight.
I make that 18 factors [four 3-4 Regs and a 2-4 Reg, a 2-4 S Provincial, 1-6 Ranger and 1-6 Cherokee and Bradstreet and Dunbar.]
2nd roll defending French force under Levis with Beaujeu with three 3-4 regulars, one 1-4 marine detachment, one 0-4 marine detachment, three coureurs des bois, four Indians and one reduced Indian for 17 factors. Both rolls are under the 17-21 column with +1 for the French for Levis. I calculate that you have a 22.2% chance of winning this one and gaining a lot of points if you get the fort.
339 3/17/2018 7:53:00 AM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #25: 2 / Northern Indian
Play if you control Montreal. Place BLUE or--if you have a fort at Niagara-- BLUE/ORANGE Indian units totalling half a die roll (rounded up), or a full roll if French VP >4. Place units at their settlements. For every 1 you could place, you may instead restore 2 to full.

Message from Britain:
Braddock chances his hand.

Leaving a 1-4 reduced Provincial behind, Braddock takes everyone else to Ohio Forks to fight.

I make that 18 v your 17 just outlined in 338 [four 3-4 Regs and a 2-4, a 2-4 S Provincial, 1-6 Ranger and 1-6 Cherokee.]

No other cards from me so roll away.
338 3/16/2018 9:34:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #54: 2 / Light Infantry
Place 2 Light Infantry units and a leader, if available, at any fortresses.

Message from France:
Use this to activate Drucour at Tegnagerunte. He boat moves all his force of 2 regulars and 2 Caughnawaga Indians 8 spaces down to Ohio Forks where he drops off all and then Durcour only moves back to Kittaning. This makes 17 factors at Ohio Forks. That gives me an advantage here but still leaves you a chance to win the battle if you outroll me.
337 3/16/2018 4:53:00 AM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #52: 1 / Call Out Militias
Place 1 Militia unit into a Militia Box or restore 2 to full strength.

Message from Britain:
Bradstreet and his 3 regiments ( Laurel Ridge South) – Upper Monongahela. I think we have a showdown ahead.
336 3/16/2018 4:49:00 AM 1758 Late Season Britain Message >Tegnagerunte

Once in a while I move to a space that I think I have never ever 'visited' in this game.
335 3/15/2018 11:32:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Message In checking over my move, I don't think I can get back to Oneida Carry East due to the land move part. Montcalm will only go back to Oneida Carry West stockade after dropping off Drucour and his force of 8. That leaves Bougainville and the two Indians at Oneida Carry East (which Montcalm could easily reinforce). Montcalm would have 16 factors at Oneida Carry West.
334 3/15/2018 11:21:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #20: 1 / Amphibious Landing
Play after naval move along Amphib arrow. May not be played same year after Louisbourg Squadrons. The unit or force may land in a French-occupied or -controlled space (place Amphib marker).

Message from France:
I see the redcoats marching thru the woods. Time to get ready to reinforce Ohio Forks if need be. Use this to activate Montcalm at Canajoharie. There is not a stockade there (if there were, I would destroy it) and boat move to Tegnagerunte (what a name) where he drops off Drucour with two regulars and the two Caughnawaga Indians (8 factors). Then Montcalm moves back to Oneida Carry East joining Bougainville and the two Indians there. That makes 18 factors there. (5 regulars, 2 Indians, 1 coureur and 1 reduced coureur).
333 3/14/2018 6:43:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #19: 1 / Amphibious Landing
Play after naval move along Amphib arrow. May not be played same year after Louisbourg Squadrons. The unit or force may land in a French-occupied or -controlled space (place Amphib marker).

Message from Britain:
The Halifax – Louisbourg axis seems to be being ignored in favour of Wilderness Misadventures.

This card will activate the recently arrived Bradstreet and his three regiments. The move (Alexandria) – Laurel Ridge South.
332 3/14/2018 6:39:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Thankfully for me that didn't give you another VP by rounding.
331 3/12/2018 11:03:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Message A "2" is NE (no effect) and the Huron and Dumas will go back to the stockade at Kittaning. I was hoping to get another successful raid here.

Message from France:
Raid at York by Dumas and the Huron Indian.
+1 for Dumas and -1 for two militia in the Southern region makes a net +0 under the cultivated space.
329 3/12/2018 10:58:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #61: 1 / Highlanders
If 1755 scenario, play only after 1758 or William Pitt. REMOVE Place one 4-4 Highland unit and a leader, if available, at any ports.

Message from France:
Use this to activate Dumas and the Huron Indian 1-0 at Allegheny Central. This force moves Raystown and infiltrates thru Carlisle and into York to raid. There are no units around yet to intercept so I'll go ahead and roll for the raid.
328 3/12/2018 8:12:00 AM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #57: 3 / British Regulars
May not be played if British Regulars already played this season. REMOVE Place three 3-4 Regular units and a leader, if available, at any ports.

Message from Britain:
Bradstreet and three 3-4 Regiments land at Alexandria. He seems to be the only available leader as Wolfe and co. can’t come on yet.
327 3/11/2018 5:36:00 PM 1758 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #63: 1 / Highlanders
Play after 1758 or William Pitt. REMOVE Place one 4-4 Highland unit and a leader, if available, at any ports.

Message from France:
Use this to move a 1-4 marine detachment from Presqu'ile to Ohio Forks joining Levis. This makes 9 factors of force there.
326 3/11/2018 3:40:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message 2nd All Braddock’s force [Dunbar, 3-4 Reg, 2-4 S Prov and 1-6 Cherokee] (Mingo Town – Upper Monongahela.
325 3/11/2018 3:37:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message 1st Webb and his three 3-4 Regiments boat move (New York) – Schenectady.

324 3/11/2018 3:35:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #2: 3 / Campaign
Activate any two leaders and their forces. Select them, then complete all actions by one before the other. No one may move more than once. Both may naval move.

Message from Britain:
Played to rush forces forward.
323 3/11/2018 1:49:00 PM 1758 Late Season Britain Message You are certainly on the way to victory. Am working my way through this and pondering.
322 3/8/2018 11:22:00 AM 1758 Late Season France Message Both French leaders survive the battle. French pick up 1 Victory point for the battle against regulars and French victory points go to 11 VPs which is enough for a win if it stays this way until the end of the turn. Now it is your turn to go.

Message from France:
Levis wins at Ohio forks with a 3 to 1 loss factor (which was also the roll). I will flip the marine detachment for my 1 loss factor. The first British loss factor flips the full strength British regular, the 2nd flips the ranger and the 3rd factor removes one of the reduced British regulars. The reduced regular and reduced ranger retreat back to Upper Monongahela stockade joining the reduced provincial there. Your roll of a 1 results in a leader loss check for the French leaders.
1st roll is for Beaujeu
2nd roll is for Levis

Message from France:
1758 Battle at Ohio Forks with Levis' force trying to relieve the fort.
1st roll attacking French force with Levis and Beaujeu with 1 regular, 1 marine detachment, 3 coureurs, 3 Indians - Delaware and Ottawa and reduced Mississauga for 9 factors with +1 for Levis
2nd roll defending British force of 1 regular, 1 reduced regular and 1 ranger for 7 factors with no adds.
319 3/8/2018 5:35:00 AM 1758 Late Season Britain Message Will simply stand an flight.

You will notice that I was bluffing that I had a card to prosecute the siege in the early part of the year.
318 3/7/2018 11:51:00 PM 1758 Late Season France Message For what it is worth, the reduced Indian inside Ohio Forks will come out and fight too.
317 3/7/2018 11:41:00 PM 1758 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #44: 2 / Raise Regiments
May not be played if Assemblies Reluctant. Within Assemblies track limits, place 4 Northern or 2 Southern Provincial units at any fortifications in their Department, or restore all Provincials of one Department to full.

Message from France:
I will use this to activate Levis at Kittaning. He takes Beaujeu and all of the force there except one reduced (Delaware Indian) and moves to Ohio Forks to try and relieve the fort there. One 3-4 regular, one 1-4 Marine detachment, 3 coureurs, 1 Delaware + 1 Ottawa Indian for 9 factors with +1 for Levis
vs 1 regular, 1 reduced regular and 1 ranger for 7 factors. You may try and avoid battle with one unit or try and intercept with the reduced Provincial from Upper Monongahela. Mingo town is not adjacent so Braddock cannot help. I'll let you decide and roll. I calculate only a 61% chance of victory here but I need to try and relieve the fort if I can.
316 3/7/2018 11:26:00 PM 1758 Early Season France End Turn
315 3/7/2018 11:25:00 PM 1758 Early Season France Message Loudoun is killed at Ohio Forks. Wow! I didn't expect that to happen. I have Braddock and Dunbar over at Mingo town.
This will end the early season of 1758.

I assume that you will stay and not try to avoid battle.
1st roll attacking reduced Mingo Indian under the 0 column
2nd roll defending force under Loudoun of two regulars and one ranger for 8 factors under the 6-8 column.

Message from France:

Pays d'en Haut: Move the Ottawa Indian 1-6 to Kittaning to join Levis' force making 8 units and 9 factors there.
Logstown: One of the reduced Mingo Indians moves to Ohio Forks to try to capture some scalps there.

309 3/7/2018 2:14:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Yes flip the Northern Provincial for the pox loss.
308 3/7/2018 12:15:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Message The reduced coureur stayed at Venango.
307 3/7/2018 12:14:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #7: 1 / Massacre!
Play when enemy stack of both Indian and Drilled Troops units captures a stockade space, fort, or fortress. Receive 1 VP. All Indians in the space eliminated.

Message from France:
Use this to activate Dumas at the stockade at the stockade at Venango. He takes Beaujeu and the full strength Huron and coureur and moves to Kittaning where he drops off the coureur and Beaujeu and continues with the Huron through Buffalo swamp where your reduced Cherokee could intercept and then to Allegheny Central to fight the reduced Cherokee unless he avoids battle. Battle would be on the 1 column with +1 for Dumas vs 0 column for the Cherokee. I'll let you decide whether to try and intercept, stay and fight or try and avoid battle.
306 3/7/2018 12:02:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Message That was not the roll that I was hoping to get. Only 1 loss factor at Schenectady which will probably be used to flip the provincial there.

Message from France:
Small Pox roll for Schenectady where you have 7 units so this if half a die roll rounded up.
304 3/6/2018 11:53:00 PM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Event #34: 3 / Small Pox
Choose a space with >4 units. Enemy eliminates steps equal to half a die roll (round up) or a full roll if >8 units present (reduce all before eliminating any). Then remove all Indians.

Message from France:
Time to play this for an event. The only space that you have >4 units is Schenectady where you have 7 units so I will play it there. Hopefully, it will cause more than one step loss.
303 3/6/2018 12:39:00 AM 1758 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #12: 1 / Ambush!
Play before Battle in Wilderness or Mountain if you have Auxiliaries. May not be played if enemy has Fort, Light Infantry, or more Auxiliary units than you. Fire first, double strength (before any column shifts), unless enemy also ambushes.

Message from Britain:
Activate a single auxiliary unit before you have your THREE card play.

Move the 2-6 Ranger (Hoosic) – Schenectady.
302 3/5/2018 9:55:00 PM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Event #47: 3 / Troop Transports
French may not play after Quiberon or if Quebec is British controlled. Restore 3 French or 6 British reduced Regular or Light Infantry units to full strength.

NOTE: This card was held from the Start turn.

Message from France:
Glad this week is better for you. Sounds like you and your mother have had a rough time.
I'll play this as an event and restore the two reduced regulars with Montcalm at Canajoharie and the reduced Marine detachment at Presqu'ile to full strength. That should make all the French regulars at full strength. I have a lot of reduced Indians and some reduced coureurs though.
301 3/5/2018 12:40:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Real life: it happens. I have found 2018 harder going than anticipated: 1. the virus that wouldn't shift, 2. my mother having an operation, 3. the snow that has just about cleared. Cumulatively it has meant that I don't feel on top of things. This week has had a good start though.
300 3/5/2018 12:39:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message My reading of 10.412 and the Design Note make me want to keep the Cherokee alive. I'll pass on raiding.

Over to you for your card play.
299 3/4/2018 10:01:00 PM 1758 Early Season France Message This time the battle goes to the British at Mingo town with a 2 to NE result. Both Mingo Indians flip and retreat back to the Shawnee Village at Logstown.
You don't have to raid since the Cherokee is stacked with Drilled troops but you may raid if you wish. I'll let you decide and roll.
Sorry for the delay but we had my mom's birthday today and had invited a lot of friends and family.

2nd Battle at Mingo Town:
I will not try and Intercept this time with the reduced Shawnee Indians since they would only add moral support.

2nd roll defending 2 Mingo Indians under the 2 column with no adds.

296 3/3/2018 11:09:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #30: 1 / Cherokees
May not be played after Cherokee Uprising. Place all Cherokee (GREEN) Indian units not on the map at a British fortification in the Southern Department and restore any reduced Cherokee to full strength. French may play Cherokee Uprising (place marker).

Message from France:
Use this to build a stockade at Kittaning with Levis.
295 3/3/2018 6:29:00 AM 1758 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #16: 1 / George Croghan

290 2/27/2018 6:59:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Yes you are right about the top-echelon leaders. I had assumed it was removal from the map not the game. That means I need to keep Braddock on my map (note am not logged on with Vassal access at moment).
289 2/27/2018 10:36:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Message Looks like I got lucky and get one of your cards from a random draw.

Die roll to see if the French intercept a Courier. Need 3-6 to draw one of your cards.
287 2/27/2018 10:34:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Event #35: 3 / Courier Intercepted!
On a roll of 3-6, randomly draw one card from opponent's hand and place it in your own.

Message from France:
I should have played this earlier and possibly drawn one of those wonderful cards that you just played but I'll play it now and see if I get lucky.
286 2/27/2018 10:28:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Message Webb enters at New York - not much worse than Abercromby.

Message from France:
Rolling for your British leader entering at New York:
1 = Bradstreet
2 = Webb
284 2/27/2018 10:15:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Message Abercromby was removed from the game in log 149. Rule 5.55 You need to roll between Bradstreet and Webb.
283 2/27/2018 7:12:00 AM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Abercromby is at New York.

Braddock relieved of command at Monongahela. Dunbar takes over there. Braddock goes back into the pool (5.55).

280 2/27/2018 7:04:00 AM 1758 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #59: 3 / British Regulars
May not be played if British Regulars already played this season. REMOVE Place three 3-4 Regular units and a leader, if available, at any ports.

Message from Britain:
Three Regiments arrive at New York with a leader.
279 2/27/2018 6:58:00 AM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Remove 2-4 Provincial in Concord.
278 2/26/2018 7:29:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Event #40: 2 / Stingy Provincial
May not be played if British Assemblies Enthusiastic. Choose either the Northern or Southern Department and the British player must eliminate 1 of its Provincial units.

Message from France:
Wow! That card really turned things around for you. Nice roll too!
I'll use this as an event and have you remove one of the Northern Department Provincial units.
277 2/26/2018 5:43:00 AM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Restore the three reduced regiments with Shirley at Schenectady.

Then restore the two with Loudon at Ohio Forks.

Message from Britain:
Restore to full strength????
275 2/26/2018 5:40:00 AM 1758 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #48: 3 / Victories in Germany
Play after 1755. French may not play after Quiberon or if Quebec is British controlled. Roll a die and restore to full strength that number of reduced Regular or Light Infantry units.

Message from Britain:
Play for event. I need to roll at least a 3 to shift the Schenectady force up a column.
274 2/25/2018 6:44:00 PM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #45: 2 / Raise Regiments
May not be played if Assemblies Reluctant. Within Assemblies track limits, place 4 Northern or 2 Southern Provincial units at any fortifications in their Department, or restore all Provincials of one Department to full.

Message from France:
On the battle at Canajoharie, I will flip two regulars and one coureur in Montcalm's force leaving 17 factors.
Yes, Victory points went to +10 for the French favor but I need 11 and you can probably get 3 for Ohio Forks.
I will use this to activate Drucour at Kahnawake. He will take the regular 3-4 there and the two Caughnawaga Indians and boat move to Canajoharie joining Montcalm's force. This makes 22 factors there now.
273 2/25/2018 12:42:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #39: 2 / Stingy Provincial
May not be played if British Assemblies Enthusiastic. Choose either the Northern or Southern Department and the British player must eliminate 1 of its Provincial units.

Message from Britain:
Whatever your losses, Shirley will activate in Hudson Carry South and, leaving the 2-6 Lights behind, move with the two 3-4 Regulars and 2-4 Provincials to Schenectady.
272 2/25/2018 12:36:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message 4 to 3 French victory.

The 3 Regulars flip, the Mohawk is eliminated as is village. Retreat to Schenectady.

Stockade destroyed so French VP +2 to +10. I think you are about there.

Over to you to indicate your losses.

9 British unmodified.

Message from Britain:
Murray, Johnson and the three 3-4 Regulars attempt to pull back to Schenectady.

Mohawk would be left behind with stockade. This only happens on 4-6.
269 2/25/2018 12:26:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message The odds are either losing 1VP for the stockade or 2VP for stockade and a battle v drilled troops. Either way I am probably going to lose the Mohawks. I'll try an avoid battle and then see how things pan out.
268 2/24/2018 4:58:00 PM 1758 Early Season France Message I found the answer under the Indian Alliances 5.532. "If all Indian units from a settlement are eliminated, immediately remove the Allied marker - that settlement is no longer a Raid target."
So if the Mohawk stays and fights and loses then the settlement goes away and there is no possibility of a raid. I could pick up one victory point for the stockade though.
267 2/24/2018 2:26:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Question: what happens to the 0-6 Mohawks if you have sole possession of Canajoharie? I can't spot a non-Raid related mention in the rules.

I'm tempted to try to avoid battle, but could leave the Mohawk behind to try to cause a possible loss.
266 2/24/2018 2:09:00 PM 1758 Early Season Britain Message Well spotted with Kittaning. I hadn't looked to see if there was a fortification. I did look up 10.422 in my Here I Stand rules until I realised it was the wrong rulebook.
265 2/23/2018 8:06:00 AM 1758 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #17: 1 / Amphibious Landing
Play after naval move along Amphib arrow. May not be played same year after Louisbourg Squadrons. The unit or force may land in a French-occupied or -controlled space (place Amphib marker).

Message from France:
I debated on sending Levis to Ohio Forks to relieve the siege but even with your reduced troops the chances are not good and without a fortification at Kittaning the regulars and marine would have to retreat inside the fort. I'll do this instead and threaten your Northern armies. Activate Montcalm at Montreal and take all forces and leaders there and boat move to Oneida Carry East where he drops off Bougainville and then on to Canajoharie and battle Murray. 20 factors (six regulars + two coureurs + Vaudreuil) with +2 for Montcalm and -1 for the stockade vs 9 factors with +0. I'll let you decide on whether to try and avoid battle or stand and fight. I will not play a response card for this battle.
264 2/23/2018 7:28:00 AM 1757 Late Season France End Turn
263 2/23/2018 7:27:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Message Otherwise it looks correct and I will end the turn.
