Message from France:
French 1st card:
Activate the Ojibwa Indian at Pays d'en Haut move down to Ohio Forks and attack Wolfe and his reduced troops there. Wolfe could try and avoid battle back to Upper Monongehala or accept battle. Let me know before I move the next Indian. If he avoids battle, this Indian may continue moving.

96 4/24/2018 10:24:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Message End of turn (year) phases:
B.3 Indians and leaders Go Home:
It references 10.4 and says that "leaders in wilderness or mountain without troops or fortifications are placed in the nearest friendly fortification. 10.4 says that they go to the nearest fortification. I assume that I have a choice if they are with troops. I can change this if you disagree.
Green Mountain Central:
Rigaud goes to Ticonderoga joining Montcalm's force.
Bougainville will stay with the regular there.
Ojibwa Indian goes to Pays d'en Haut
Mississauga Indian goes home to Mississauga
Kittaning:
Levis and the reduced coureur go up river to Venango
Dumas stays with the marine detachment and the reduced Delaware Indian is at home at Kittaning
All others are at home or in friendly fortifications.
B.4 no raided markers yet
B.5 Winter attrition:
Marine detachment at Kittaning is flipped
French regular at Green Mountain Central is flipped
You already mentioned that the reduced regular at Ohio Forks is eliminated and the full strength 4-4 is flipped.
All others are in fortifications with 4 or less units or in friendly cultivated spaces.
B.6 Victory Check: Victory points should be at +3 in the French favor by my count.
95 4/24/2018 4:32:00 AM 1757 Late Season Britain Message British B5 Attrition: the reduced to 2-4 regiment eliminated and the 4-4 flips.
94 4/23/2018 8:31:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Message Your force at Ohio Forks will suffer winter attrition as will two of my forces.
93 4/22/2018 7:26:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #43: 2 / Raise Regiments
May not be played if Assemblies Reluctant. Within Assemblies track limits, place 4 Northern or 2 Southern Provincial units at any fortifications in their Department, or restore all Provincials of one Department to full.

Message from Britain:
Final play: individual unit activation.

2-4 Southern Provincial (Carlisle) – Upper Monongahela.

This ends the Late Season action phases. I don’t spot anything that needs doing for B.3 Indians &
Leaders Go Home.
92 4/22/2018 7:20:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Message 3:0 victory takes the fort, eliminates your two drilled units and gives 3VPs to the British (2 for the Fort and 1 for Ohio Forks).

Fort now British under construction and VPs go to +4 French.

French defenders roll on the 2 column.

90 4/22/2018 7:16:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #27: 2 / Western Indian
Play if you have fort at Ohio Forks. Place ORANGE or--if you have a fort at Niagara-- BLUE/ORANGE Indian units totalling half a die roll (rounded up), or a full roll if French VP >4. Place units at their settlements. For every 1 you could place, you may instead restore 2 to full.

Message from Britain:
The last combat put Ohio Forks under siege. Here we have a virtual roll on the siege table. Wolfe has a +2 so no need to roll and it is straight on to the assault.
89 4/21/2018 9:46:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Message Victory points go from 7 down to 6 in the French favor.
88 4/21/2018 9:45:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Message Levis escapes. You have 2 more cards.

Message from France:
Wolfe wins at Ohio Forks with a 4 to 2 result thanks to outrolling me by 3. One 4-4 and one 3-4 British regular flip for your 2 loss factors. All four of my units flip. The reduced regular and reduced marine detachment retreat into the fort since they cannot retreat elsewhere. Levis will retreat to Kittaning with the reduced Delaware Indian and reduced coureur. Possible leader loss for Levis since you rolled a 6. Killed on a roll of 1.

Message from France:
Dumas fails to intercept so we have the battle of Ohio Forks. As I calculate it, this is a 50% chance of a win for Wolfe.
1st roll attacking British under Wolfe with two 4-4 and one 3-4 drilled troops for 11 factors under the 9-12 column with +2 for Wolfe and -1 for exclusively regulars vs Auxiliaries in Wilderness for a net of +1.
2nd roll defending force under Levis with one 3-4 regular, one 1-4 marine detachment, one coureur and one Delaware Indian for 6 factors under the 6-8 column with +1 for Levis.
85 4/21/2018 9:34:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Die roll request Request: 6-sided die x 1

Message from France:
Dumas will try and intercept Wolfe at Ohio Forks with the marine detachment from Kittaning. He would need a 1-4.
84 4/21/2018 5:34:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #18: 1 / Amphibious Landing
Play after naval move along Amphib arrow. May not be played same year after Louisbourg Squadrons. The unit or force may land in a French-occupied or -controlled space (place Amphib marker).

Message from Britain:
Here’s where it gets risky.

Wolfe, the two 4-4s and a 3-4 activate in Upper Monongahela and move to Ohio Forks where you have a range of possibilities.

Play it out please. No cards in any battle from me.
My remaining cards might allow me to mitigate any mess / build on success.

83 4/21/2018 5:27:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #7: 1 / Massacre!
Play when enemy stack of both Indian and Drilled Troops units captures a stockade space, fort, or fortress. Receive 1 VP. All Indians in the space eliminated.

Message from Britain:

82 4/21/2018 5:21:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #25: 2 / Northern Indian

2. Loudon (Upper Monongahela) – Shepherd’s Ferry.
81 4/21/2018 5:06:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Message Here's 'the thing': I now have a free hand with FIVE cards and they are rather mediocre ones.
80 4/20/2018 9:34:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #59: 3 / British Regulars
May not be played if British Regulars already played this season. REMOVE Place three 3-4 Regular units and a leader, if available, at any ports.

Message from France:
That's what I would have done with that card if I was the British. Actually, I was planning to use it to move Montcalm. I'll use this card instead to put some of Montcalm's force in winter quarters.
Activate Vaudreuil at Ticonderoga. He takes two regulars and two coureurs and moves back to Montreal for the winter. This leaves Montcalm at Ticonderoga with three 3-4 regulars and 1 Potawatomi Indian to try and hold the fort.
79 4/20/2018 4:38:00 AM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #52: 1 / Call Out Militias
Place 1 Militia unit into a Militia Box or restore 2 to full strength.

Message from Britain:
This is the card you gave me. I’m going to use it to put a Militia unit in the Northern box.
78 4/19/2018 4:10:00 AM 1757 Late Season Britain Message I'm going to make my move when home this evening. Have a laptop with me with a near uncontrollable track-pad.
77 4/19/2018 4:06:00 AM 1757 Late Season Britain Message I have been using the opportunity to run your hand down so I have the chance to do something significant at the end of the turn. I am not too sure what that might be.
76 4/18/2018 9:00:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #38: 2 / Provincial Regiments
For each Raided marker within the Northern and Southern Departments, the French player eliminates one unbesieged Provincial unit belonging to that Department.

Message from France:
Well played Paul!
I will use this to activate Levis at Ohio Forks and move some troops up river by boat move to hopefully avoid some winter attrition.
He takes one marine detachment and two coureurs and moves to Venango where he drops off the marine detachment and one coureur (makes 3 units there) then French Creek where he drops off the other coureur and then Levis moves back to Ohio Forks to winter. That makes one regular, one marine detachment, one Delaware Indian and one coureur at Ohio Forks for 6 factors.
75 4/18/2018 8:43:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Give random Strategy card to Britain Message from France:

Hopefully this courier was carrying only a wish list for groceries and not important papers or some troops are going to starve this winter. Die roll to see if courier gives up important stuff: I need a really low number here.
73 4/17/2018 3:14:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #35: 3 / Courier Intercepted!
On a roll of 3-6, randomly draw one card from opponent's hand and place it in your own.

Message from France:
a little germ warfare to the defenders at Hudson Carry North: I count 7 units there so you force will only lose half of this die roll rounded up.
69 4/16/2018 8:18:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Event #34: 3 / Small Pox
Choose a space with >4 units. Enemy eliminates steps equal to half a die roll (round up) or a full roll if >8 units present (reduce all before eliminating any). Then remove all Indians.

Message from France:
Play this as an event and give a little germ warfare to the defenders at Hudson Carry North. I count 7 units there.
68 4/16/2018 8:16:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Discard random Strategy card Operations - 1 / Blockhouses

67 4/16/2018 6:42:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #36: 2 / Fran‡ois Bigot
French player randomly discards one card. (Discarded "Surrender!" card causes Reshuffle.)

Message from Britain:
Play this to run your cards down.
66 4/16/2018 6:41:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Message >looks much like the Braddock defeat here in the real war except he had a few provincials with him.

Yes, I am blundering without auxiliaries in a roleplay here. I've put the 3-4 back at L R South. It probably got moved when Wolfe was passing through.
65 4/16/2018 7:53:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Message Levis inflicts 5 step losses on the British with the ambush at Ohio Forks. This eliminates the British force of one regular and two reduced regulars before they can return fire. Wolfe escapes to Upper Monongahela stockade. This looks much like the Braddock defeat here in the real war except he had a few provincials with him. Victory points go up by 1 for a win over regulars to 7 VPs in the French favor. Unfortunately, by playing the combat card you will get to play the last two cards of this turn unless something else happens.
64 4/16/2018 7:47:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Die roll request Request: 6-sided die x 1

Message from France:
Ambush roll at Ohio Forks by Levis. He has one regular 3-4, two 1-4's from the fort, three coureurs (two from the fort) and one Delaware Indian for 9 factors which is doubled to 18 factors for the ambush with +1 for Levis.
63 4/16/2018 7:44:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Event #11: 1 / Ambush!
Play before Battle in Wilderness or Mountain if you have Auxiliaries. May not be played if enemy has Fort, Light Infantry, or more Auxiliary units than you. Fire first, double strength (before any column shifts), unless enemy also ambushes.

Message from France:
I will play this to ambush Wolfe and his force at Ohio Forks. This is a wilderness space and you don't have a fort here (yet) and I have more auxiliary units.
62 4/16/2018 7:43:00 AM 1757 Late Season France Message According to your log 40, there should only be one 3-4 and two 4-4's with Loudon at Upper Monongahela stockade. At Laurel Ridge South there is a stockade and one 3-4 regular that was left there by Loudon (or is it Loudoun like my counter says?).
61 4/16/2018 5:40:00 AM 1757 Late Season Britain Die roll request Request: 6-sided die x 1

Message from Britain:
Loudon attempts an interception. He will take two 3-4s and a 4-4 with him if successful, leaving a 4-4 behind. Sadly he is not Wolfe and that is a problem.

4-6 needed. Then over to you. No card will be played by British.
60 4/15/2018 11:00:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Message Dumas will stay in Kittaning. He had enough excitement for a while.
59 4/15/2018 10:58:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #33: 2 / Indians Desert
Eliminate up to two unbesieged enemy Indian units from any one space. (Remove Allied markers)

Message from France:
Use this to activate Levis at Kittaning. He takes the 3-4 regular, the coureur and the Delaware Indian and moves onto Ohio Forks to attack Wolfe. This leaves the marine detachment at Kittaning. The forces in the Ohio fort under siege will join in this battle for a total of 9 factors. You may decide to try and either intercept with Loudoun and some or all of his force, or attempt to avoid battle with Wolfe. Let me know your decision before I decide whether to play a combat card or not (if I have any).
58 4/15/2018 10:43:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Message Wolfe survives this time.

Message from France:
The Indians go down fighting at Ohio Forks by inflicting 2 step losses on the British which flips two British regulars. The British inflict 4 step losses which eliminate the Mingo and Delaware Indians and Dumas retreats back to Kittaning. There is a possible leader loss for Wolfe for the roll of 6 by the Indians. Wolfe is killed if this roll is a 1.

Message from France:
OK, this is what I decided. It may not be the best but since I can't avoid battle because I attempted to intercept, I will stay outside the fort with the two Indians and Dumas. The two Marine detachments and two coureurs will duck inside the fort and hope for relief from Levis.
Battle at Ohio Forks:
1st roll attacking British under Wolfe with three 3-4 regiments under the 9-12 column with +2 for Wolfe and -1 for exclusively regulars vs auxiliaries in wilderness.
2nd roll Dumas with Minga 1-6 Indian and Delaware 1-6 Indian under the 2 column with +1 for Dumas
55 4/15/2018 8:54:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Message It would have been so easy if Levis had just intercepted. Now I have so many options that I need to pause and figure who fights and who retreats inside the fort.

Message from France:
Levis at Kittaning will try and intercept Wolfe at Ohio Forks. He will try and bring the 3-4 regular, the coureur and the Delaware Indian. This leaves the Marine detachment 1-4 behind at Kittaning. He needs 3-6 to intercept.
53 4/15/2018 7:08:00 AM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #16: 1 / George Croghan
British frontier trader provides scouts.
Play after activating a Drilled Troops unit or a force that includes Drilled
Troops.

Message from Britain:
Wolfe will risk it.

He moves with his three 3-4 regiments (Laurel Ridge South) – Upper Monongahela – Ohio Forks in the hope of a battle / siege. You have a range of options. I’ll leave you to play it out.
52 4/14/2018 11:20:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #44: 2 / Raise Regiments

51 4/14/2018 5:36:00 PM 1757 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #19: 1 / Amphibious Landing

NOTE: This card was held from the 1757 Early Season turn.

Message from Britain:
Place a stockade at Upper Monongahela.
50 4/13/2018 10:23:00 PM 1757 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #45: 2 / Raise Regiments

French 1st action Late Season:

Delaware Indian from Kittaning to Ohio Forks
Mingo Indian from Mingo Town to Ohio Forks

Abercromby puts his quill down and decides to act. He moves (Hudson Carry South) – North with everyone apart from Dunbar and a 2-4 [Webb, the 4-4, three 3-4s. two 2-4s, 2-6 Ranger].

How will Montcalm respond? Abercromby isn’t playing any card.

17 4/6/2018 12:09:00 AM 1757 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #5: 1 / Bastions Repaired
Replace a Siege 1 or Siege 2 marker on the map with Siege 0. (You must use a whole Action Phase to play this event.)

Message from France:
Use this to activate Montcalm at Hudson Carry North. The fort currently has a siege level 0. His entire force of 8 units (14 factors) will conduct a siege of the fort and if successful then an assault. You may have the Coehorns card that will affect this battle or some other combat card so I'll let you decide and roll (or let me know and I will roll). I will not play a combat card at this time.
16 4/5/2018 7:37:00 PM 1757 Early Season Britain Play Strategy card as Operations #31: 3 / Cherokee Uprising
Play if Cherokees event has occurred. REMOVE British player must eliminate (as available, unbesieged) two Regular, one Southern Provincial, and all Cherokee (GREEN) Indian units (flip marker), and may not play Cherokees event.

Message from Britain:
Dunbar reads the dispatches. Dunbar and the three 3-4 regiments move (Albany) – Hudson Carry South.
15 4/5/2018 7:34:00 PM 1757 Early Season Britain Message Provincials both go inside the fort, setting up a French siege. Abercromby writes dispatches and waits..
14 4/4/2018 9:46:00 AM 1757 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #29: 1 / Mohawks
Play if Johnson is within 2 spaces of Canajoharie. Place all Mohawk (RED) Indian units not on the map with Johnson and restore any reduced Mohawks to full

Message from France:
Use this to activate Montcalm in Montreal. He takes Vaudreuil, and all 8 units there, 14 factors and boat moves down to Hudson Carry North to attack the fort and forces there. You have 2 provincials there who may retreat inside the fort, or 1 may try and avoid battle away or your force at Hudson Carry South my try and intercept. Your decision.
13 4/3/2018 2:50:00 AM 1757 Early Season Britain Message Sorry, those were the ones previously with Dunbar and stay there with him.
12 4/2/2018 8:02:00 PM 1757 Early Season France Message I need to know about the other two 3-4's that were at Albany. Did you leave them behind with Dunbar too? Does this make 12 factors at Hudson Carry South?
11 4/2/2018 5:33:00 AM 1757 Early Season Britain Message 1st: Leaving a 3-4 behind with Dunbar, Abercromby and the 4-4 move (Albany) – Hudson Carry South.

2nd: Loudon and his two 3-4s and two 4-4s moves (Harris’s Ferry) – Will’s Creek – Laurel Ridge South.

Activate any two leaders and their forces. Select them, then complete all actions by one before the other. No one may move more than once. Both may naval move.

Message from Britain:
If these come along in pairs, I’ll use them. At the moment it is really just getting in position and covering against threats.

8 3/31/2018 8:38:00 PM 1757 Early Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #32: 2 / Treaty of Easton
Play if British Drilled Troops are in an unbesieged fortification in or adjacent to Ohio Forks. REMOVE Eliminate all unbesieged Shawnee, Mingo, and Delaware (ORANGE only) units

Message from France:
Use this to activate Levis at Quebec. He boat moves all three 3-4 regulars down to Montreal where he drops off 1 with Montcalm and then continues with the one overland move allowed to Ile aux Noix and on down to Crown point where he drops off 1 more regular and then to Ticonderoga where he drops the 3rd regular with Rigaud and finishes his move by moving back to Crown Point. That makes 8 units with Montcalm at Montreal and 14 factors, 4 units at Ticonderoga and 10 factors, 3 units at Crown Point with Levis and 5 factors.
7 3/31/2018 11:03:00 AM 1757 Early Season Britain Message 2. Abercromby moves with the remaining single 3-4 and 4-4 Regulars (New York) – Albany where he joins Dunbar and his force.
