1350 9/21/2019 4:06:00 AM Turn 7 East Message A few notes for things easy to forget (at least for me)

1. Discard cards, your hand limit is 1 when starting the new turn
2. Don't forget to save the delayed notes
3. Check your manpower limit before allocating talents to HI or Legions.
4. Deck must be reshuffled before the start of the new turn

1349 9/21/2019 4:02:00 AM Turn 7 East Message East log placed again.

Next is Carthage
1348 9/21/2019 3:49:00 AM Turn 7 East Message wel, I missed it. WIll redo my log then

1347 9/20/2019 7:25:00 PM Turn 7 Carthage Message It was probably easy to miss without the number.
1346 9/20/2019 6:43:00 PM Turn 7 Greece Message It was named "End of turn 6 beginning of turn 7"
1345 9/20/2019 6:42:00 PM Turn 7 Carthage Message What was the log named before?
1344 9/20/2019 6:38:00 PM Turn 7 Greece Message So I've renamed my end of turn log by adding "209" to the beginning of the name.
East, could you delete "209 East" and "210 Carthage" and then make a new file with your stuff? Then we should be back on track.
Thanks.
1343 9/20/2019 6:36:00 PM Turn 7 Greece Message East, would you be willing to redo your log by building off of my end of turn log. Some of the adjustments you made I had already made in my log and now it's getting confusing.
I'll rename my end of turn log by adding a number and then if the East works off that log, we should be back on track.
That OK, East?
1342 9/20/2019 6:25:00 PM Turn 7 Carthage Message I followed the end of the East log. I'm happy to redo my log.
1341 9/20/2019 6:14:00 PM Turn 7 Greece Message It seems that my end of turn log wasn't used in the Carthage log just now. I forgot to use the numbers for my log and so it got missed I guess. Any suggestions how to fix this? A lot of work went into that log and I'd hate to have to do it all over again ...
1340 9/18/2019 6:09:00 PM Turn 7 Carthage Message Done. Everyone, don't forget the manpower maximum fees - taxes for too many HI/LGs.
Greece is next.
1339 9/17/2019 9:22:00 PM Turn 7 Greece Message OK sorry about that

1338 9/17/2019 7:36:00 PM Turn 7 Carthage Message I count 31 for Carthage income.
20 from cities and towns.
10 provinces. No income from Baleares, but +1 from Gallecia.
+1 for home territory.
Agreed?
1337 9/16/2019 2:59:00 PM Turn 7 East Message Next is Carthage
1336 9/16/2019 2:58:00 PM Turn 7 East Message East Maintenance done.
1335 9/16/2019 2:37:00 PM Turn 7 East Message Rome please revise your Stability in your log, as I do not recall if you advanced incorrectly due to province controls as explained by Carl.

1334 9/16/2019 2:36:00 PM Turn 7 East Message We still have to adjust Greece Stability by +1 and Carthage stability by -1
due to VP's allocation. Will do that in my log
1333 9/16/2019 2:21:00 PM Turn 7 East Message EAST gets only 3 AM.

Successors Wars.
SInce the 2 armies are not in range and there is no other garrison or army within 3 spaces, there is no attack but EAST looses 1 stability
1332 9/16/2019 2:18:00 PM Turn 7 East Message 1d6=1 >> Add 5T to Treasury, plus outbreak of Successor Wars
in the East**.

Message from East:
Turn 7 Start,

BAGDAD BOOTY ROLL

1330 9/15/2019 9:57:00 PM Turn 7 Rome Message Oh, I see now. Thank you for the correction/clarification. I may have taken a bit more in the last turn than I should have.
1329 9/15/2019 7:45:00 PM Turn 7 Greece Message Scott, you need to root out the hidden tribe counters. They prevent you from easily controlling Britannia, Lugdunensis and Narbonensis.
1328 9/15/2019 3:47:00 PM Turn 7 Rome Message Actually, I think Rome is calculated incorrectly.

I thought that you either had to control more than half the spaces, or just one territory if nobody else is there. That's how I read 5.2.1.

Am I missing something?
1327 9/15/2019 3:18:00 PM Turn 7 East Message Nice game so far, still balanced.
1326 9/15/2019 3:17:00 PM Turn 7 East Message And Carl, thanks for calculating the score and adjusting the track !
1325 9/15/2019 3:16:00 PM Turn 7 East Message So if all agree with the scoring we follow player order for the next steps:

East>Carthage>Greece>Rome

Will place my notes tomorrow
1324 9/15/2019 3:10:00 PM Turn 7 East Message does not change the score, but East has 13 and Greece has 15. You must count also 1 GOP per Territory (including your home territory). East also scores for Scythia and Armenia. And Greece also counts for Sarmatia
1323 9/14/2019 1:09:00 AM Turn 7 Greece Edit VPs Carthage: from 35 to 39
Rome: from 10 to 15
Greece: from 24 to 31
East: from 36 to 42
1322 9/14/2019 1:08:00 AM Turn 5 Greece Change game turn Game turn changed to Turn 7
1321 9/14/2019 1:08:00 AM Turn 5 Greece Message End of turn 6 and beginning of turn 7

As far as I can see, there is no attrition or isolation.
The Syracuse galley should have become a Roman galley earlier, I think, so thatís what Iíll do.

Greece GOP: Peloponnes, Attica, Aegean Islands, Macedonia, Thrace, The Chersonese, Moesia Superior, Dalmatia, Dacia, Pannonia, Noricum, Raetia, Germania Magna for a total of 13. = 7 VP

East GOP: West Sicily, Cyrenaica, Egypt, Judea, Syria, Cyprus, Cilicia, Lycia, Ionia, Galatia for a total of 10. = 3 VP

Carthage GOP: Libya, Africa, Numidia, Mauretania, Baetica, Gallaecia, Tarraconensis, Baleares, Corsica, Sardinia for a total of 10. = 3 VP

Rome GOP: Belgica, Aquitania, East Sicily, Bruttium, Italia, Cisalpina for a total of 6. = 0 VP
(Rome does not control Britannia (only 2/8), Lugdunensis (only 3/10), or Narbonensis (only 2/5) since it does not control more than half of the spaces (5.2.1). This results in Romeís stability going down to +2.)
Rome CVP: 9 cities (27) and 2 towns (2) = 29 -> 5 VP
East CVP: 8 cities (24) and 3 towns (3) = 27 -> 3 VP
Carthage CVP: 6 cities (18) and 2 towns (2) = 20 -> 1 VP
Greece CVP: 4 cities (12) and 5 towns (5) = 17 -> 0 VP

Total VPs for end of Turn 6
Greece = 7 VPs
East = 6 VPs
Rome = 5 VPs
Carthage = 4 VPs

Accumulated VPs
East 36 + 6 = 42
Carthage 35 + 4 = 39
Greece 24 + 7 = 31
Rome 10 + 5 = 15

Income
Greece: 30 talents
East: 40 talents
Carthage: 28 talents
Rome: 35 talents

Now on to maintenance for each power.
1320 9/14/2019 12:10:00 AM Turn 5 Greece Message Thanks for the offer, Scott. I'll tackle it now and see how I make out.
1319 9/9/2019 12:13:00 PM Turn 5 Rome Message I'm at a work deadline right now, but I could do end of turn this weekend if nobody else gets to it sooner.

Just let me know.
1318 9/9/2019 12:07:00 PM Turn 5 Greece Message Use 4 shifts to increase Pontine roll to 5, eliminating reduced East HI.
Use remaining 4 shifts to reduce East roll to 2, resulting in another HI flip.

East looses control of Pontus, reducing East stability to +6.

No further action from Pontus.

This is the end of our turn. I don't have time right now to do all the end/beginning of turn stuff. If someone else does, feel free to jump in! Otherwise I'll try to get to it in the next few days.

That's okay - I'll just move my last three MPs back to Rome.

Live and learn.

First minor move will be to build city in Gaul.

Second minor move will be to move LG from Bovianum to Rome.

Message from Rome:
Will force retreat - 1MP cost to the Romans.

Two more MP to move against retreated/regrouped barbarian army.

Again, Rome has Cavalry Superiority, so 1 shift. Romans have 24BP compare to barbarian's 3, so 8 shifts for BP differences, for a total of 9 shifts to the Romans.

Message from Rome:
Will spend the shifts to zero roman losses, and 70% barbarian losses. 5x.7=3.5 rounded up to 4. Barbarians hold, but barely.

I'm going to assume the infantry first and then the cavalry, as the loss of cavalry first creates cavalry supremacy for the romans. If anyone disagrees, please let me know and I'll change things.

Checking for leader deaths - first two are Roman, second two are Barbarian.

Message from Rome:
That's good - total of 8MP.

First two points will to be attack barbarian army.

They have equal tactical ratings, so no shift there. Barbarians have 2 cavalry, but the romans have 3 integrated cavalry, so one shift to the romans. Total BP is Romans 24 and barbarians 5, so 24:5 is 5 shifts to the Romans.

Total of 6 shifts to the Romans. Well, at least we won't lose any guys this round.

Romans:barbarians

Message from Rome:
Thank you for the clarification - much help!

4MPs left. Will move to Massila (1MP), embark (1MP), sail (1MP) and debark in Rome (1MP).

Second minor move will be for the LI in Cenabum.
1286 8/25/2019 3:34:00 PM Turn 5 East Message so a 1|2 >> 9|0 = 4.5 BP = 5 BP, the tribe is decimated
1285 8/25/2019 3:33:00 PM Turn 5 East Message you have 5:1, 5 shifts + 3 for cavalry supremacy + 2 for leader = 10 shifts
1284 8/25/2019 3:27:00 PM Turn 5 East Message Hi Scott, we are not using the [optional] rules for re-rolling
1283 8/24/2019 10:51:00 AM Turn 5 Rome Message Nope.

The barbarian player gets to make a decision here...not sure who would be the player making that decision on whether or not to re-roll since he doesn't have a leader. I'm assuming it failed because the barbarians don't have a leader.

I believe that there is no barbarian re-roll since there is no leader. I'll finish out according to this and make a pause to see if anyone disagrees.

Rome uses 2 shifts to reduce Roman losses, and ups barbarian losses to 80%. .8 x 4 = 3.2 rounded down to 3 means only one barbarian BP remains...tough guys.

Four MPs left, and one Minor Move remains.

Will pause for input if I did 10.3.5 correctly.

What do you guys think?

I believe we're using 10.3.5, which allows me to re-roll Rome...can't get any worse...

Rome:Barbarians, and four MPs left

Pay and draw reveals Pirates - Pirates placed in Adriatic. That's a dangerous place...

Also, I noticed that I never placed Roman control in East Sicily - done and stability adjusted.

First minor move to rebuild city - cost 2T.

Will also play Archimedes card. So I get two shifts if anybody thinks to attack me...I'm lookin' at you, East...

Still have my major and minor moves. Will roll for major move - army in Narbonensis.
1279 8/24/2019 10:03:00 AM Turn 5 Rome Message Sorry to be slow, fellow Tyrants. Will do Rome a bit later today.

1276 8/21/2019 12:59:00 PM Turn 5 East Message thanks. Because you lost 2 provinces your stability is now in Unrest.

Carthage is next
1275 8/19/2019 12:24:00 PM Turn 5 Greece Message First HI will go to Aquileia and 2nd HI to town in Carnuntum.
1274 8/18/2019 4:33:00 AM Turn 5 East Message [edit]

Your second HI can retreat 2 spaces towards Aquilea, Poetovia or Ovilava.

1273 8/18/2019 4:32:00 AM Turn 5 East Message The barbarian Army ha 10MP, so I can go back to Vindelicorum and then to Veldidena attacking form there. Your second HI can retreat 2 spaces awards Aquilea, Poetovia or Ovilava.

So which way you want to go ?
1272 8/17/2019 1:36:00 PM Turn 5 Greece Message I was confused by the fact that your army went straight from Brigantum to Veldidena but that is not possible as there is no connection between the two and so I just assumed I could have withdrawn first HI to Virunum.

My first HI would indeed withdraw to Aquileia. What path is your barbarian army following after that?
1271 8/17/2019 1:25:00 AM Turn 5 East Message How can you retreat your first unit to Virinum when you you only have 2 MP's to spend ? You can only reach Aquilea.

I assume the second HI in Virinum also flees - sorry for that.

We can still have that combat in Virinum if you want.

If that is the case, your unit in Aquilea can try to intercept.

If you fail the interception remember that you can not retreat your unit in Virinum before battle anymore.

Remember there are two additional shifts for cavalry on top of the 2 shifts for the leader.

Let me know
1270 8/16/2019 11:51:00 AM Turn 5 Greece Message This gets a bit confusing. I would have retreated with my first Greek HI to Virunum, joining the Greek HI already there and then fought together with him against the barbaric horde.

Does the East want to resolve that?
1269 8/16/2019 8:14:00 AM Turn 5 East Message CARTHAGE is next.

GREECE to decide retreat path for both HI first.
