I was very unsecure, if I can use for support field artillery of regiments that have no combat units in the attack, and checked the rules for 15 min. But I was sure that I can use the corps artillery...

My bad, as we all know, artillery range is shortened when there are infantry units only a mile away...

Well, if you want to go the hard way, we can do Pog with PBEM.If you do the administrative stuff on Vassal.
ACTS provides us with cards, I can play blind for a while, and then take a copy of your mapboard.
I guess this way you have more time to think about questions inbetween your moves.

Please, note that the replay at the end of the rules, gives you an overview of the different game mechanics and how the game works, but strategically it is very poor play of both. There is no plan recognizable, it rather is like kiddies' football, all run to where the ball is.. instead of professional football, where the players have positions and functions in an underlying system.
However, as a newbie, the 'extended example' definitely will give you a good first impression of how the game 'flows'.

Btw, with your knowledge of the concept of the 4 races, you probably could beat both of them already( at least when you learned how to implement it into your play).

With this programm the game is faster than face to face play.
Also, look at this BKN: DOZENS of mistakes! If you are not counting my passes, I bet we had more impulses with a mistake than without!
The most important feature of this programm is that all rules are enforced!
There is just no way to make any mistakes by misinterpretation or ignoring of rules. You play correctly, or the program won't let you finish your move.

OR, doing a POA straight on Vassal - on line.
I've done that with BKN and VITP and it works well.

If you can spare an hour during the week, I suggest we meet before, so that we can solve technical difficulties of connection, and you get used to the chat in wargameroom and maybe the interface of the programm itself, if we still have time. These things take some time when done by somebody for the first time. Please check the read.me after you downloaded the Pog program( Version 8.8).
If you are not able to open port 2222, or don't know what 'port forwarding' for your router is, we have 2 other choices of connecting. We could use Hamachi
https://www.vpn.net/ (free or demo version), which is the best choice, or use the public 3rd party server.
The problem there is that only one game is supported at any time, so if somebody else use it, when we want to play, we can't, and sometimes the server need a reset, and only a few people can do that. With Hamachi we would be independent, however, some people need to adjust some settings in Windows to be able to use it without a yellow triangle (error message), but there is a step by step video on Youtube. I had that problem 1 year ago, too, and after I followed the video, 'the yellow triangle of death' was gone.
But as you can see, this first , but non-recurring, setup and testing of connection can take some time,
so I would like to do it before actually meeting for playing.
A: Best and easiest: Direct connection via port 2222.
B: Hamachi
C: 3rd-party server

so I think you should use the Living rules from GMT games,

They are 'full rules' , no adding of a '4th sentence in 21.8 -stuff', and clearly show what has changed since last version.
However, if you sort the cards from 1-to 55 you have a nice overview of what will/can happen in the different stages, 1-14 are the cards for Mob.
