302 12/3/2018 2:23:00 AM Fall 1862 Union Message after much agonizing, here goes.

2nd, 3rd MP to Fredericksburg and convert it. 4th MP, 5th MP to Wilderness and convert plus pick up the 1 SP there, n7. last move is to go to Gordonsville and pu that SP and finish, n8

if you hold a campaign card then I'm going to be in a very painful situation. Lincoln must now hold his breath and wait.
301 12/3/2018 2:11:00 AM Fall 1862 Union Message man no matter what i do there is a virtual guarantee of losing 6 SP to Lee unless you chose to pick your worst subordinates which even then with interception bonus is going to be 7.

292 12/2/2018 2:42:00 AM Fall 1862 Union Message truly you have my sympathy about the lack of campaign cards. sorry, i have been getting no gaming in for a week with family in town for Thanksgiving week and then my wife on strict bed rest. doc ordered more tests to see if she coudl come up with a good reason to take the baby early but no such luck. good news is that my mother-in-law is coming Tue morning to look after my wife during the day and night and i will still be helping but not solely on me and she will remain until the baby comes and then stay for anther week or so...so that will be a massive amoutn of relief. also i have finished all decorating lights on the house and tree stuff which is a huge load off my shoulders.

258 10/31/2018 12:58:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Message and i just realized what a fool I am for not attacking through Weston. in the small chance I succeeded in getting a 1*-1 result, that would force you to Parkersburg in even worse shape.

but now even if i win you fall back to Weston where you have supply again. *bangs head into desk*

i was hoping to be on a rail for strat move reinforcements which is why i attack through parkersburg. oh well.
257 10/31/2018 12:56:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Message you have to fight me.

7.24 RETREAT BEFORE BATTLE PROCEDURE: The defender may move his entire force into any adjacent friendly-controlled or neutral space as long as it is not the one from which the enemy force is moving and is free of enemy SPs. If such a space is not available or the Retreat Before Battle roll was unsuccessful, then a battle occurs. Effectively, this means that a Cavalry Brigade deep in enemy territory can be brought to battle, if it is surrounded by enemy PC markers. The Union can use 7.62 to retreat from ports before battle.

you can only retreat into a enemy LOC as a result of a combat loss and then you pay the additional 1 SP loss in addition to whatever troops were lost in combat.
256 10/31/2018 12:47:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Message Success. AoNV loses 1, n2. Sitting in Weston back in supply.

234 9/30/2018 1:49:00 PM Summer 1862 Confederate Message No problem about the slow pace really. And too bad your wife is going through a lot for the baby. At least the pregnancy is over the mid point. Too bad that you have to give up trying to make more gaming buddies.

I think I'm going to fight hard for Grafton. Onwards boys.

231 9/30/2018 3:19:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Message that is a very unique language. biggest thing i missed was i pronounced the J as a hard J and not soft.

going to try to step up to playing every 2 days. sorry for the slow pace, hopefully that hasn't been too big of a problem if you are very busy at home and work as it seems. my wife is healthy but she is having so, so much trouble getting around and so much joint pain plus massive trouble sleeping as she can't breathe laying on her back (plus it's also very bad apparently but that is more comfortable than either side). long story short, this will have to be our last one we decided :( at least via the natural method because her body just does not handle pregnancy well. we hoped some day to adopt a child or maybe two but now that will be moved up.
230 9/30/2018 3:12:00 AM Summer 1862 Union Message 3rd move to Winchester and 4th to convert.

5th to Harper's Ferry. 6th to Frederick and absorb the 2. n6
229 9/30/2018 3:00:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Message But anyways, for a first timer pronouncing finnish it was well spoken name. I recognized it from the podcast.
228 9/30/2018 2:59:00 AM Summer 1862 Confederate Message Hmm, I think thats pretty much how its pronounced. The YOU-part its much shorter. Not like U-u, but only u. Hard to describe : P. Short and prononunced with hard accent or stress like you said.

The second syllable is extremely soft [kka] long soft double-k. And [a] sound to the end is like saying letter I without i. So not [ai] but [a]. Hard :D
