71 6/15/2018 4:38:00 AM 1755 Late Season Britain Play Strategy card as Event #22: 3 / Governor Vaudreuil
Choose any 2 unbesieged French leaders on the map and reverse their locations. (You may not choose Louisbourg if "Louisbourg Squadrons" removal has disallowed French naval movement.)

Message from Britain:
After Dieskaus victory in the battle at Lake Ontario, Governor Vaudreuil decides, that the western front need a commander of his ilk. Dieskau and Beaujeu changes place
70 6/15/2018 4:11:00 AM 1755 Late Season Britain Message The Ambush finishes with the last words: "...unless enemy also ambushes." The Ambush Card can hence only be countered by the other Ambush Card, which is often the only way the British can avoid ambushes. Consider it a response card, even if the words are "unless enemy also ambushes."

Fieldworks also counters fieldworks, but here it is specifically mentioned that the attacker can remove existing fieldworks, so that is not a "response".

Does that help the interpretation?
69 6/14/2018 9:14:00 PM 1755 Late Season France Message also, I will be away next wednesday for 2 weeks...coming up to your neck of the woods I believe for vacation haha
68 6/14/2018 7:05:00 PM 1755 Late Season France Message Can you explain though how you can still play ambush in combat, as you played the card. If it was an error you can take it back in your hand. I just want to make sure I understand for future plays, as my understanding was attacker plays a CC (which ambush would be) before defender. Not sure how you can go back and cancel my card after I play it?
67 6/14/2018 7:04:00 PM 1755 Late Season France Play Strategy card as Operations #29: 1 / Mohawks
Play if Johnson is within 2 spaces of Canajoharie. Place all Mohawk (RED) Indian units not on the map with Johnson and restore any reduced Mohawks to full

61 6/14/2018 4:00:00 PM 1755 Late Season Britain Message Not a lot of fighting. I guess the French was surprised finding a defensive Fieldworks.
Result was France 2 dealing out 2, UK dealing out 1 loss, so France wins. Stockade destroyed, Fieldworks destroyed, 2 VP to France, UK retreats

Not that it matters much anyway. I end up giving you 1 steploss and you deal out 2 to me, so my attack is repulsed and you get your VP
