I have set up a game in ACTS with the optional 8 cards in each player hand. This allows a lot more strategy for each player but if you desire to play with the 7 card hand I can delete this game and set up another one.
Optional and special rules: ( I like these but we can use whatever we agree on.)
1. Optional rule 4.2.4 - one AH corp removed from reserve and placed at Stanislaw. One RU corp removed from reserve and placed at Lutsk.
2. Optional rule 11.2.10 - Trench roll modification
CP addition: Trench in Strasbourg
AP change: remove the trench in Brussels
Add trenches in Verona, Asiago, Maggiore and Udine
3. Entrench may not be played as an event on turn 1.
4, Use an 8 card hand for each side. This allows use of more combat cards and more options for each player.
5. Only Austrian and Italian armies may operate in Italy (move, attack, or advance into any space in Italy) and no German armies may end their movement (OPS or SR) in Trent, Villach or Trieste until the start of a turn at which the AP is at Total War.
You might have some optional rules to consider - there are others that I have used. Anyway, look these over and let me know if they are OK. The last one allows Italy to survive (most of the time) if the Allies get the Italy card late in the Limited War time frame. Note that after total war is entered by the AP (allied player) then this restriction goes away.
Note that as the CP player you can decide whether to have the Guns of August card in your first card draw.
