Confederates' turn.

===============

5.72 OVERRUNS: If the force ratio is 10-1 or greater and no fort is present, then there is no battle, although retreat before battle is allowed. Instead, the smaller force is eliminated and the larger force may continue moving.

Confederate gains +3 SW. Remove from deck if event is played.

Message from Union:
AotC (everyone) moves from Winchester to Mobile and picks up Pope +6 units. From there we attack Pollard AL. Do you retreat or play any cards? If not, it would be a Medium Battle (12 SPs vs 3 SPs) with +6drm Union (+3 leaders, +3 force ratio) vs +1drm Confederates (leader).
339 10/16/2018 12:43:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message As an aside, don't forget that Van Dorn (currently in Jackson MS) has the option [upon activation] of being made into an optional Cavalry Brigade. Any time Van Dorn is activated and moves with only 1 SP, the Confederate player, at his discretion, can replace Van Dorn with his Cavalry Brigade piece. Once designated a Cavalry General he remains one for the remainder of the game and follows all rules for Cavalry Brigades.

334 10/16/2018 11:20:00 AM Spring 1863 Union Message I am willing to accept your unconditional surrender whenever you are ready. With the Blockade level at 3 and 6 turns still remaining, I tend to think there is little doubt as to the outcome. Although we certainly can play it out if you'd like to see how long the Confederates' can last or if you think the Confederates can mount a major comeback - which certainly would provide grounds for some epic trash talk after I said the outcome was no longer in doubt!
