263 11/27/2018 10:41:00 AM Jan-Apr 1943 Allies Message Yes, a good game, and I learned a lot...
See you - maybe in December.
Have a good time!
262 11/25/2018 5:47:00 PM Jan-Apr 1943 Japanese Message Good game. I was getting worried it would drag out another turn and then things might get bad. Once the USA gets rolling it's pretty hard to ever recover. I thought you might have a WIE card or a +1 to PW, but I figured the extra ASPs would be useful or I could save the card and try to pull it out the next turn.
I was able to keep some initiative by refusing the fight in the CBI and cutting the USA forces into sections that couldn't support each other easily. I wasn't able to pull off the New Guinea capture, but was mostly able to keep you from getting easy PoW locations down there. I had good luck with you rolling bad on surprise attacks that left me with some AZOIs at critical times. It doesn't take many losses for Japan to really struggle to cover everything.

There's tournament coming up on BBG if you're interested in playing. It's double elimination and I think you have to sign up by the 28th.

Good games. We'll have to play again sometime.
261 11/25/2018 11:06:00 AM Jan-Apr 1943 Allies Message You take Saipan and Jaluit.

PoW from 5 to 3 (Lae, Wotje + Maloelap), US PW will decrease to 0.

I propose Midway or Saipan for our peace negotiations to save hundreds of thousands of lives...

Congratulations to you!

225 11/13/2018 4:41:00 PM Jan-Apr 1943 Allies Message I did not intend to trigger your ability to use Ground Disengagement to run away, but now I think it's a good idea to do so.
=> Moves in logfile confirmed.
If you choose to leave Lae with your armies, the 3rd Aus corps will stay in Port Moresby to prevent overstacking.
Thanks a lot for the hint!
224 11/12/2018 9:23:00 PM Jan-Apr 1943 Japanese Message I noticed on your move, you moved the single US corp in first, which would trigger my ability to use Ground Disengagement to run away if I wanted to, but I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. If the big stack moves first I can't run even if I want to as long as it's attack value is >= to my own. Not a problem to reverse the moves if that was your intent.

223 11/10/2018 9:46:00 PM Jan-Apr 1943 Japanese Message Looking at it, you could be right. I've always read that as can be used as OPs but not as a ME if there are no Japanese occupied Aleutian hexes. I put the question up on BBG so we'll see if we get an answer. I don't see anything else on the forums, other than you can put it in FOQ either way. It doesn't seem to make sense to have that language on the card if it's just a normal card if there are no Japanese in the Aleutians.

I don't think the Vassal file is up on dropbox. I'll keep you posted if I find out something on the card.

168 10/18/2018 6:41:00 PM Sep-Dec 1942 Allies Play Future Offensive card as Event #52: 1 / Roosevelt-Nimitz-MacArthur: End of US Army-Navy Dispute
This event ends a US inter-service rivalry. Flip the US Inter-Service Rivalry marker to its Strategic Agreement side. If the US Inter-Service Rivalry marker is already on Strategic Agreement side there is no additional effect. Bonus: If this card is played as an event, the Allies have the option to discard a card of their choice and replace it with any card from the discard pile (not those removed from play). Remove from play if used as an event.

167 10/17/2018 8:51:00 PM Sep-Dec 1942 Japanese Message PBM done. A lot of noise accomplishing nothing.

ISR is really bad for Japan. Not a big deal for USA usually. Hard to say what we'd be doing if it wasn't in effect. Good cards make everything look better.

bty.
