Either player may move up to two infantry SPs from the same space as if they were led by a General. This move is a Corps move and may enter enemy controlled spaces because the SPs are moving as if they are led by a general.

Message from Union:
Moving two SPs from Memphis, TN Leaving General Freemont and one SP. Two SPs will go to Panola, then Grenada, Winona, Canton City, and Jackson, MS (Drop one SP), then go to Holmsville, Springfield, and lastly stopping at New Orleans.

Play this card to make an automatic one or two space interception. Intervening space must be friendly controlled and free of enemy SPs. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during intercept.

Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. If a general casualty occurs in a battle caused by this card, the Commanding General is eligible, this is an exception to the rules. See 4.5.

154 10/18/2018 5:10:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Yanks cann't quite get their boys into the town...

147 10/17/2018 12:58:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message LOL, I had trouble understanding the table at first too....don't fret...long game.

You need to decide if you wish to stand and fight at Annapolis first...if you stand, go ahead and resolve the battle.
If you retire, just place the AoPot to a USA port...and play your next card.

AoPot may retire w/o rolling since it lost a battle in my card play round.
146 10/17/2018 8:57:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #48: 3 / Brazil Recognizes the Confederacy

Message from Union:
I'll activate General Freemont with his 2 SPs in St Louis. He will go to Ironton and then go to Greenville and pick up one SP, then to Gainville and pick up one SP, then to Elizabeth and pick up Butler, then to Madison AR, and attack Polk in Memphis TN. 4 SPs vs 1 SP. I'm outside LOC though.

144 10/17/2018 8:48:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message Just realized that
143 10/17/2018 12:29:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message The attacker causes 2SPs loss on the table with a die roll of 6 total.
The defender causes 1SP loss to the attacker on the table with die roll totals of 1 - 6.
142 10/16/2018 10:13:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message No, I meant I would have 3 guys left. The battle would have been won by me. You rolled a one. You get +1Stonewall bgd, +4Gens which gives you you a total of 6. The attacker when rolling 6 in a medium battle inflicts one loss. I would go from 4 to 3 SPs in DC. I rolled a 3 and get a +2fort, +1Gen which means I rolled a 6. That means you lose a total of 2 SPs. I inflicted more losses which means that I won the battle. I would have 3 SPs in AotP. You would have a total of 6 SPs in AoNV. SW doesn't change. I apologize for my confusing messages. Does this look correct? I'm enjoying the game even if you are destroying me right now!
141 10/16/2018 10:13:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message ANV has 2MPs left after the battle, so converts WDC & attacks the AoPot in Annapolis...

Your options...since you have lost a battle, you may retire by water to another USA port.
140 10/16/2018 10:05:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Oops, you are correct! The Rebs win!

Yanks (n2) retire out of WDC to Annapolis!
WDC fort destroyed & Congress flees...
Rebs loose 1SP (n7) in WDC.

SW impact of the REbs taking WDC:
-30 for the Yanks from 95- to 65-

Luke, thanks for the correction....geez, such an important battle and I "screwed the pooch" in the adjudication.

Over to you SAH!
139 10/16/2018 8:35:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message I mean defender only losses one SP if attacker rolls a 6.
138 10/16/2018 7:53:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message You actually only destroyed one SP. 1 plus 5 equals 6 for the roll. Medium attacker only loses one SP off a 6. Agree?
137 10/16/2018 1:26:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Stonewall Bgd is destroyed in their desperate attack...
136 10/16/2018 1:25:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Despite superior numbers ole Joe cann't pierce the fortifications at WDC!

122 10/12/2018 10:46:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message ARMIES (only) may be reinforced by combination of road & water connections. With the new Logistics rules, armies are limited to 3SPs being sent to armies in this manner. With the rules we are playing with, not restricted by the 3SP rule.

See section 10.21...if still cornfused, just holler...will try another explanation
121 10/12/2018 5:49:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message The rails stop at Manassas. Frederick is connected to Manassas by a dirt road. You can't reinforce all the way there. You could put the troops in Manassas if you wanted!
120 10/12/2018 11:49:00 AM Fall 1861 Union Message I don't think you can reenforce the AoNV because it is in Frederick. There isn't any rails connecting your troops to Frederick. The rail is cut by DC. Am I correct?

I don't think so....looking at all the retreat from combat and 5.73. Since there is a SP already in Elizabeth and that space may support 2 Gens, then Burnside would remain with Banks and the SP.

What aare your thoughts?
92 10/6/2018 12:43:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Message Can you do the die roll for these rolls? I don't know how to do that for this event
91 10/6/2018 12:42:00 AM Summer 1861 Union Play Strategy card as Event #4: 1 / Costly Mistake
Pick an enemy army with two or more subordinate generals (includes Cavalry Generals) and randomly determine a target general. On a die roll of 1-3 the chosen general is killed and removed from play. I'll move to Ironton, move to Greenville and drop off one SP (3 SP's remaining), move to Gainville and drop off one SP (2 SP's remaining), move to Elizabeth and drop off one SP with General Banks (1 SPs remaining), and will have Butler with one SP attack attack Little Rock which has one SP.

You can make the roll!
81 10/5/2018 2:56:00 AM Summer 1861 Confederate Message In a "corps" move may only have 1 additional Gen with the "moving" Gen...please re-do.

You will find the note about loosing an additional SP in the 2nd paragraph of 7.61.
80 10/4/2018 11:12:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Where is the rule for losing one additional SP if they must retreat into enemy space? 75 10/4/2018 12:36:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Play Strategy card as Operations #9: 3 / Clara Barton
Union immediately adds three SPs due to improved sanitary conditions. Place in any space (friendly controlled or not) that already contains a Union SP and has a LOC, no more than one per space.

Message from Confederate:
Price with his 1SP will move from Fayetteville to Little Rock, then to Paducah - n2

Place an Elite unit marker in any space with an Army. CSA: Stonewall Bde or Hood’s Tigers. USA: Iron Bde or Wilder’s Bde. Cannot be played if all elite unit markers are in play for that side.

Message from Confederate:
Stonewall Bgd added to ANV
