401 12/11/2018 10:03:00 AM Spring 1863 Confederate Message Yeah, your cards were hopeless these turns when you have to move heavy 3-union generals around. And to make matters worse I can even keep up on the SP's. My last two cards would give me 5 SP :-)

2 / Bermuda Blockade Surge (Confederate)
Confederate immediately receives two SPs in any open Blockade Runner Port, no more than one SP per port, but more than 1SP per Blockade zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost.
3 / British Clydeside Shipyards (Confederate) Confederate immediately receives three SPs in any open Blockade Runner Port, no more than one SP per port, but more than one SP per Blockade zone is permitted. If insufficient ports are available, the excess SPs are lost.

CSA is up one. Please go ahead and ready a new start :-)
400 12/11/2018 9:34:00 AM Spring 1863 Union Message ugh i think you won this won...its too late in the game for me to recover a 30SW penalty and i'm already down to begin with. it doesnt help these last 2roudns i had over half my cards being 1 ops and no campaign card so moving is quite difficult. i think as north I need to reorganize my generals earlier as mcdowell sucks to have to waste 3 ops...plus i need to attack constantly your armies and wittle down some guys...lets do same sides again?

391 12/10/2018 4:59:00 PM Spring 1863 Confederate Message That is also my assessment, so we go by that. As I see it I had to play it just to have a go against your capital - and I also had to make sure that my own capital was able to defend itself. I never really counted on you attacking Richmond as I will have +6 if you do and you have +1

I'll make the move for you and do my own turn, which is "Forward to Washington!"

389 12/10/2018 2:21:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Message so i'm not sure how to interpret this rule...obviously i move my army toward richmond, but it states I can capture spaces along way and run out of movement before reaching richmond. so I could just move mansasas, wilderness, fredericksburg, capturing all 3 of them and ending in fredericksburg...i'll have ot read up on BGG about this.

Message from Union:
386 12/10/2018 9:43:00 AM Spring 1863 Confederate Play Strategy card as Event #3: 1 / Forward to Richmond
Union may activate any Union army within 4 spaces of Richmond, VA. The army must enter Richmond or move as close to Richmond as possible, but may convert spaces to maintain an LOC. All SPs associated with the army must be moved (no dropping off SPs), except 1 SP may be left if the Army began its movement from a fort (if last SP, move completed). If played by the Confederate, he draws a card from the Union hand which is discarded, and the Union player follows the instructions of this card as his next card play.

Message from Confederate:
So, the destruction of Army of Potomac and the failure of Grant to beat the Kansas-boys of Army of the West has put pressure on McClellan and Lincoln to do something drastic - like marching on Richmond! Forward, lads, to Richmond!

bty to discard a card and use your turn to move against Richmond. Will be interesting to see if you succeeds

Pick an enemy army with two or more subordinate generals (includes Cavalry Generals) and randomly determine a target general. On a die roll of 1-3 the chosen general is killed and removed from play. On a die roll of 4-6 the general is wounded and removed from play, but re-enters during the reinforcement phase of the next game turn.

Your card allows entering enemy-controlled areas without a general, but sailing to Moorehead is a naval move. So your SP's have to return to Washington
370 12/5/2018 9:39:00 PM Spring 1863 Union Play Strategy card as Operations #19: 1 / Belmont
Either player may move up to two infantry SPs from the same space as if led by a General. This move is a Corps move and may enter enemy controlled spaces because the SPs are moving as if they are led by a general.

After the battle Army of the West move on via Kansas City to Longstreet, picking him up as 2nd in command plus the SP and end the move in Jefferson City, picking up the lone SP there as well. So, Mr Grant, you want a fight? Why not fight someone at your own size? :-)

Confederate Player may move 5 SPs using Strategic Movement (rail connections only) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. AoNV has cav, AoP hasn't, so -2 (to 0) for leader, also AoP is out of supply, giving +2 to CSA. So result is:

CSA: +5 from generals +2 from enemy OOS +2 from force ratio (3:1) = +9, equals a certain 10+
Union: +1 from second in command Halleck

Due to force ration no general casualty is rolled for attacker

311 11/26/2018 1:28:00 AM Fall 1862 Confederate Message I totally agree to the answers. Sailors at that time didn’t hug the coast like in ancient times so off course you sail out to the ocean and back in, no matter which destination you have. But from Washington you have to pass Ft Monroe to get OUT to the ocean due to the narrow strait leading in/out. Quick solution, use one of the several northern harbors with free access to the Atlantic instead of Washington

308 11/25/2018 4:57:00 PM Fall 1862 Confederate Message When you pass a fort, no matter if you pass it or sail toward land, the fort usually opens fire.

Denmark has a couple of narrow straits where we a couple of centuries ago had forts and demanded toll from all ships passing to and from the Baltic Sea. Otherwise we opened fire. And those ships was just passing through...

Ft Monroe is placed in the narrow opening of Chesapeake Bay. I think is is placed there for a reason. I am off to bed in a moment. Can you google it to see any rulings on BGG, Consim or other board game places?
307 11/25/2018 4:39:00 PM Fall 1862 Union Message so to clarify, I dont htink fort monroe preveents me from making naval attacks elsewhere (like say fort sumter). Im pretty sure the forts are desigend so you cant "run" in to the ports theyre protecting which is what is meant by "running" the guns. Do you agree? Obviously i'm giving away what I want to do haha
