356 11/9/2018 3:35:00 PM Winter 1916 Central Powers Message My quick thoughts on AP play:
* Your response to "The Hammer" was textbook. If I knew you'd 'read that book', I probably would have not tried it. As the AP in that situation, I probably would have pulled the Brits back or interleaved them with the FR a bit earlier.
* Being a turn late to Limited War is not something I like doing as the AP.
* Russians were not feisty enough but I think your reinforcement cards were not obliging.
* I did not see any tactical flaws in your play and you were very OPs efficient.

Definitely a good game and I suspect the fireworks were just getting lit. =)

355 11/9/2018 3:05:00 PM Winter 1916 Allies Message Any thoughts on what I could have done better?
354 11/9/2018 3:04:00 PM Winter 1916 Allies Message With two armies in the dead pile and all those RPs, I was thinking you might shift East this turn. Was actually surprised that you put the rebuilt armies at Essen. I agree that could could take Paris. With the trench in Melun, it would be hard for me to keep you out. But I would have a decent chance of driving you back out before you could dig in. It would be a real nail biter.
353 11/9/2018 2:59:00 PM Winter 1916 Allies Message Sounds good, Tom. I had a lot of fun, so thank you! I had hoped to get some experience against your overrun of Russia, but I think seeing you run roughshod in the west may have been even better.
352 11/9/2018 8:18:00 AM Winter 1916 Central Powers Message With having to close out this round in two days and then starting the next, Bill, I'm ok stopping at this point. My sporadic pace over the last few days is reflective of my work reality and it's leading to some sloppiness, unfortunately.

There's a lot of play left in this game, of course, but it gave me a chance to refresh myself on "Going West". I was accumulating the 'mass' necessary to push on the Paris suburbs and then Paris itself so I think it would have been fun. ;)

Good luck in Round 7, there's a non-zero chance we'll get matched up!
351 11/9/2018 7:40:00 AM Winter 1916 Allies Message And just in case you missed my first message, I will repeat that my first question is whether you want to continue this game, or hang it up given that the next round is about to begin. I am good either way.
350 11/9/2018 7:39:00 AM Winter 1916 Allies Message In Italy, I misread your move. You stated that you were attacking Verona, 4A to 3A.

In Verona, I have IT1 and an FRc in a trench, so I would defend on 4A. I should have responded by telling you the proper odds and seeing if you still want to attack. But unfortunately, I read it as if you were attacking Asiago, where I mentally expected you to attack because I was weaker there with (IT4) and ITc in a trench for a defense of 3A. Given that you were attacking at the odds I expected, I totally missed that you were not attacking the space that I expected.

Not sure how you want to handle. If you would have still attached Verona, then the 3LF you did to me would have flipped both of my units (and I will adjust my replacements). If you would have attacked Asiago, then the results I put in the log should be OK.

Let me know how you want to handle it.
349 11/9/2018 7:31:00 AM Winter 1916 Allies Message In the East, you seem to be saying that you have two armies in Prz and that you wanted one of them to move to Ivangorod. But I only show one army in Prz. I show the Austrian armies as follows:
Tarnow: AH1
Prz: AH4
Munkacs: AH2
Novi Sad: AH5 and AH6
Trieste: AH3
Villach: AH10
Budapest: AH11

Do I have one of those wrong? If so, and you want to adjust your move, we can back it up just a bit and I will adjust move or just attack your larger stack. lmk.
348 11/9/2018 7:26:00 AM Winter 1916 Allies Message Hi Tom. Sounds like a couple of minor things to clean up. I will run through them in the next couple of messages. But the bigger question is whether you want to finish this game or pack it in because the next round is about to begin. I am good either way. Or we can play a couple of turns until the round starts.
347 11/8/2018 8:35:00 PM Winter 1916 Central Powers Message Hm... A problem. I attack Verona previously, but I show you having taken losses from IT4(A) which was in Asiago. I believe it was the IT(A) in Verona which you'd have to lose, this will impact your IT RPs...
346 11/8/2018 8:27:00 PM Winter 1916 Central Powers Message Yikes, looking back, that Przemysl order was a glitch. Mean to send both an AH army and an AHc to Ivangorod. But no matter, we move on.

Amiens empty
Nevers: (FRc)
282 11/1/2018 9:45:00 PM Fall 1915 Central Powers Message OK, I'll go with that. Same attack, 9A vs 9A. Please let me know if any of my other dispositions are wrong.
281 11/1/2018 9:43:00 PM Fall 1915 Allies Message Hi Tom. If you remember, back in the Spring, you defeated my stack of three units: FR5, FR10 and FRc. They had to retreat to Nevers, where I already had an (FRc). As a result of this retreat (msg 198), I was overstacked, so I had to eliminate one of the two (FRc), to get me back down to 3 units. Possibly, you accidentally eliminated both of them? In any case, my retreat at that time left me with (FR5), (FR10) and (FRc) there. I subsequently flipped (FR5) back up with replacements. And this is the first action down there since then. Sound good?
