139 11/28/2018 2:06:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message That message needed considerable editing but it posted before I can edit. The bottom line is I'm extremely embarrassed and tried to say I'd like to make this a friendly game and if I screw the rules up just tell me I screwed up and give me the rule reference without riding up the exact rule and I will fix the move. if that is too much hassle for you I completely understand and I'll just go with my first thought and quit playing games where I don't have to put myself in these kind of situations. I didn't realize I wasn't using rail move which dude where and how I moved from hex the hex which allowed you to intercept. that's Bridge of the water but felt honor-bound to let you know what was going on and said the hell with it just tell you the problem. Let me know what you think
138 11/28/2018 2:02:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message I've been extremely busy and avoiding the issue of the game. I'm extremely embarrassed about my seemly inability to remember rules or play the game correctly therefore why I haven't contacted you back. if I knew you better once you pointed out that I could not move from Paducah to the next tax as being real I would have not gone to anywhere near Mackenzie where you could have intercepted and asked if I could breathe out for us to turn I do not know you so really cannot recently ask that but just wanted you to know I screw the rules up with screwed up my move. I am not a quitter of a games but I am severely disappointed myself at the age of 65 how I'm forgetting things and not playing as well as I used to which made me seriously thinking about quitting and not playing email games ever again. it has nothing to do with you it's just in my court the should have been very simple property in the rules plays but you had to correct me on the rules at least three or four times and I am truly embarrassed about that. I will continue the game but need to get a little reassurance to you that apparently I am having problems with doing the rules but really don't want you riding up the detailed message about the rules if I have a further are the rules just give you the rule reference 9 times out of 10 I'm going to screwed up and let's do it I want to play a game but don't know how to handle my current apparent disability. Let me know

85 11/21/2018 9:49:00 PM Fall 1861 Confederate Message I vote we discard the cards and reshuffle the deck then draw new cards after the sr.
84 11/21/2018 3:40:00 PM Fall 1861 Union Message Good catch, my bad, but itís not the end of the world or the end of the game. There are two ways of doing this. Keep the cards we have and do our strategic movement now. If there is an advantage to seeing our cards before we do a SM. It would be a minor one and we both have the same advantage. Plus you would have an additional advantage of placing your generals after seeing your cards.

Or we can discard our cards do our SMís plus place your two generals then re-shuffle and deal a new hand.

What would you be happy to do Iíll go along with your choice.

83 11/21/2018 4:38:00 AM Fall 1861 Confederate Message Something bothered me about the sequence of current game. Unfortunately, I did not check the rules until after you had drawn your cards and I followed suit without thinking.

You should not have drawn your cards until you had conducted your SR. We do not have reinforcements but their still is an SR phase followed by a general placement phase. I have saved the game so we should be able to pick the game up at a different point so we can do SR then allow cards to be drawn. Knowing your cards available shape your SR so see no other way to fix this other than starting game at an earlier point and doing sequence correctly

Message from Union:

That did not work very well.

Whether rolling in tourney or a friendly game both dies must be rolled together. If incorrect number of dice are rolled then a re-roll is called for with the correct amount of dice.

8.1 Line of Communication (in supply)
LOC is traced through a neutral space (Falmouth KY is a neutral space)

7.43 Army has a drm of the commanding general plus two subordinate generals.

7.32 If the attacker is twice the size of the defender at the start of the battle and wins. The attacker can continue to move. Your force was not twice so movement ends in Lexington.

Since your die rolls are void I will roll for the battle (again) with the correct amount.

48 11/14/2018 7:49:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message Here is the cleaned up CSA Ldr placement. I used the draw cup on game map. Leaders place Columbus, Dover and Nashville in that order. Game file shows A. Johnson moved to Louisville and Price moved to Paducah Ky. You can attempt interception in Paducah.

I cleaned up move file and sent it to you. Moves on map file.
47 11/14/2018 5:57:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message sorry for the confusion but I could not find your vassal move file so I had to recreate everything and then send you an updated file with my Sr and moves we'll try not to do that again

45 11/14/2018 4:08:00 PM Summer 1861 Confederate Message I forgot. It is with an army you can move the generals. I leave Smith and Bragg in Nashville. I also need to correct map as Stewart counter is now worth 1sp. So I move Stewart and 4sp from Nashville and leave Bragg and Smith with 1sp in Nashville. I move A. Johnson with Stewart and 4 sp to Dover. I leave Pick up 1sp at Dover which leaves 1sp there and move A. Johnson plus 5sp and Stewart to Louisville. I leave Stewart in Lousiville. I take A. Johnson and move to Next box and drop off 1sp. A. Johnson moves back to Louisville with 4sp where he joins with Stewart. That is A. Johnson, Stewart and 4sp in Louisville.

Sorry about brain lapse. I knew a corps was limited in its moves and general officer capacity

Your Corps move from Nashville doesnít work.

5.33 Corps Move Size Limitations

A Corps can move with up to 6 Spís and ďONEĒ additional general. You moved with three additional generals.

43 11/14/2018 3:40:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message 5.51 Cavalry Brigade Creation
The cavalry leader chit is for the turn track. When a cavalry leader enters the game it is replaced with the brigade chit and is married up with a SP in the space. So when Stuart is placed in Nashville the SPís are reduced from 6 to 5 because 1 SP is with Stuart.

42 11/14/2018 3:39:00 PM Summer 1861 Union Message Your last move file leaves a lot to be desired. Your strategic move (SM) had been completed (in my last file). All you had to do was place your generals and play your first card instead you redid your SM in your new file. Playing your file to update my board makes for a messy replay on my board and a challenge to follow. You need to create new files not make adjustments to old ones. Keeping track of our own boards and not exchanging files would be better than going through that again.
